Tiny, tiny snowflakes started to fall on my way home from work and it doesn´t look as if it´s going to stop until tomorrow I´m afraid.
Got to work today because I felt better and I had a reservation to change the camshaft belt (I don´t know if that´s the right word but I can´t find any word for it in Googles translation :-) ) and the fan belt on my car. The garage is placed next to my job also, so whats the use not to work when I´m already there. It was a really cold morning -10C (14F) and the sky was clear. We didn´t have anything to paint today so I mounted parts combine harvesters instead. The time flies when one does things one is not used to.
On my way home, after crying inside while paying the bill :-) the snow started to fall and so it has for several hours now. Since it´s getting colder it will at least stay over the night. But they have promised warmer weather now so it wount stay for long. They say that on Sunday we will get over 9C (48F) :-) At first they also promised sun over the weekend, but now they say it will come on Monday instead. Well one can´t get it all as we say over here.
Because of the clouds and the snowfall it was to dark to get pictures in the forest. But here it was light enough.
Still no sight of any cranes. But I think that it only have come five yet, so they can be difficult to find. In some weeks there will be over thirteen thousands of them and then it´s difficult not to se one :-) Have to remember to buy a new memorycard to my camera until then, so I can make a video when they are shouting and “dancing” by the lake. If You think that thirteen thousand cranes is a lot You should know that there are over two hundred thousand people watching them. Thankfully all the people are spread around the lake so we don´t get all of them on one place :-)

Hi Christer,
I had to laugh at your cat liking to be fed on the table. Mine, Bump, was the same way. I even had a placemat for her on the far end of the table. She stood on the chair and ate with her little paws on the mat. I think she liked to do that because of the dog. The dog would eat her food and actually it was not good for her. So..we put it on the table and it kept peace between the dog and cat and kept the dog healthy. :)
SNOW..you are getting MORE snow?? Good grief..but hey..we will get another cold snap. I am still hoping for some rain. If not..we will be in trouble this summer. It's a nice life, isn't it Christer. We MAKE it that way I think.
Mona
The pictures are wonderful. I am such a chatterbox, I'm sorry, Christer. I just didn't want to go off without mentioning your pictures..which are wonderful. It makes one want to follow the paths..and I see the dogs far ahead of you on this walk. So far my truck has held up well..hang on while I knock on wood. :) I bought it in 2000 and it is a Toyota but it only has 43,000 miles on it and I think that is good actually. I seldom drive it anymore as Howard and I usually go places together.
It sounds like you are due for a bit more cold weather. If it gets into the 40's here we think we are freezing. :)
Take care of your tummy. Ok?
Mona
So you got rid of your squeeky belt and a few kronas too.Glad your feeling better.
Hi Mona!
To be honest the cats are worse eating dog food than the other way around :-) I have to get tha cats outside when feeding my dogs :-) It came about two inches snow this night, but now it´s melting away fasy again :-) This is how it usually is in April, March is mostly cold and snowy here.
It will take a long time before we are out of water here I can tell you. When the grounds gets warm again and all water in it melts we can probably not walk on the fields for a long time.
My car has run for 279617 miles now, but most parts has been changed by the previous owner, my boss :-)
They have promised warmer weather on the weekend, but the sun wount appere until monday, well one can´t get it all :-)
I´m glad that You like to visit here!
Christer.
Hi Woody!
My car is silent now :-) People doesn´t turn around to look ar my car when I drive around :-) And I can telll You that it wasn´t a few dollar :-) :-)
Christer.
Hi Christer.
Your photos are beautiful, alhtough they make me feel very cold! Think Spring...or maybe in Sweden, think Summer!
Thanks for your opinion on the porch railing (or lack thereof it!). I tend to like simplicity, which is why we built a "farmhouse" rather than a more contemporary-style American home and it also why I left the proch railing off.
I googled Skaraborg so that I could have better understanding of where it is you live. It looks so beautiful. Somedays I wish I could say I lived on the edge of a bog or forest!!!
We have had lots of those snowfalls in Kansas this year where it snows one day and melts the next. Not so much fun for the kiddos (children).
Take care
Hi Valerie!
I really like the way You have it without railings now, but I don´t think I ever seen a porch without a railing here in Sweden. Nowdays everyone is potting walls and windows on their porches, so they have to build new porches because they miss having one :-) :-)
The weather we have now is usually April weather, but i don´t mind having an early spring :-) They have promised warmer winds this weekend :-)
If You Google Falköping (or Falkoping is better for You), Skara and Hornborgarsjon I think You´ll find a lot of more pictures to see. I live just between Skara and Falkoping near Hornborgarsjon.
Have a really nice Friday now!
