It was a wonderful morning today. Slightly warm and rather windy. Oredictions say rain today, but right now the sky is clear blue and cloud free.

Erna is still doing fine and doesn´t show any signs of problems after the snake bite. Her appetite is better than it has been for a long time too, so at the moment I´m not especially worried for her health. But one never knows.

Here I tried to take a picture of some swallows that flew close to the trees. I did actully catch one on the picture. If You click on the picture to enlarge it You can see it in the down part of the picture a bit from the corner :-) :-)

I took a look at my pond this morning and I can´t say that I can notice much difference to be honest. But I know that it´ll take a long time to get the water clear again. But it would have been nice to at least see a little bit clearer water. But the gold fishes seemes to like it anyway. They swim close to the hose the water runs out from and swims there a long part of the day. My cats does also seeme to like it. I don´t know if it´s because the sound from the water or the fact that they now can see the fishes close to the pond edge :-) I think that they feels dinner is close :-)

I have a neighbour that have a breed of dogs called 'Basenji'. It´s an African dog breed close related to the African wild dog. They are energetic bouncing balls. All over the place at the same time :-) Not to easy to get to follow commands and has a bit to much feeling for hunting. One of her dogs has taken one hen and one cat when he ran from home. Otherwise they are lovly dogs. They can bark, but usually don´t. They whistle and squeeks most of the time, but they also do something the owners call yodeling :-) To be honest it more sounds like a long burp :-) :-)

The natural pond is almost totally dry now. It´ll take a lot of rain to fill it again.

The blackberries has started to ripe now :-)

There are plenty of them too :-)

Some trees has started to get yellow now. But I don´t think it´s because autumn is closing in, but more because the dry grounds.
I don´t feel I have so much more to tell You today so I´ll leavy You with the rest of my pictures. I´ll try to enjoy as much of the sunny day as possible, it might be that the weather forcast is right and rain will come. I saw that there were some plums that is yellow now, but they are placed in the top of my tree. Since it´s almost gale outside now I din´t think I´ll try to reach them on a ladder though :-) They are good, but not so good that I´ll risk my life :-)
Have a great day now!

This is the wild form of the Allegheny stonecrop, Hylotelephium telephioides (before it was called Sedum telephioides) we call it "Love herb". If You know this plant You know the red sort, this one is almost never in gardens (exept for mine :-) ).

I was a bit surprised to find this flower in my garden. It´s a Lychnis coronaria, Rose Campion . I had it for several years ago, but it died out. It´s a biennal and shouldn´t come back if died out, but I´m glad it did.

I love blackberries. Our blackberries I think come in June though. I think the Lilies? (the last picture) are very pretty. Great pictures again. You have such interesting subject matter. I am glad you share it.

Hi Chelle!
The problem with commenting in Your blog is gone now :-)

Our spring comes much later than Yours do, so that´s the reason our black berries are so late. It´s not every year we get them here, if frost is early they get destroyed.

I´m normally not a fan of day lilies, but this one in the picture have made me change my mind about them :-) I have no idea what it´s called though, but that on the other hand isn´t that important I think.
Have a great day now!

Hi Joyce!
I just thought You were busy in some way :-) But I have the same problems with my list here on the right. Some just doesn´t update as they should. Some does after I´ve visited the blog. I think there´s something doing with blogger though.

Erna seemes to do fine, she has better apetite and runs around on our walks, but dogs have a gift of hiding how they really feel for a long time, so I´ll just check her temperature to be sure. She woun´t appreciate that at all :-) :-)
Have a great day now!

Our weather is now threatened with Hurricane Bill as it works its' way across the Caribbean and we hope heads north instead of heading west to Florida. Once we start a watch we don't let up till we get the all clear from the County and State. So the next five days will be checking the internet and watching TV when possible. Love the photos today. What interesting dogs your neighbor is raising. Are they outdoor dogs? I think they look trim enough to be show dogs. I'm not familiar with that breed. Have a great work week!

What a great picture of the tunnel!
Not so sure about your neighbors dogs. Hunters tend to gang up on a single dog or animal..
I hope they don't live very close to you.

I wish we had a bit more exciting weather just goes for a bit hot, to a bit hotter to unbearable! I am ready for Fall weather. No doubt about it.

Nope, don't think I would climb up on a ladder in a gale wind either! to stay on the ground and do without the plum's. :)

I like Daylilies..but they look pretty bad before it is all over and I understand you are not suppose to pull of the dead leaves because they have something to do with blooming the next year? Is that really true?:)

Have a nice Monday, Christer!

Hi Z&M!
Before I followed Your hurricanes with interest, but never thought of it so much later on. Now I feel I know people, like You, that lives there and suddenly these hurricanes are more frightning. Someone I know can get hurt by them! So I too hope it goes north instead!

Those dogs are rather tough, so if one could make them behave as we people wants them too they could be perfect to have outdoors. I know they use them to run on tracks too like Greyhounds, but on a straight track. Funny dogs but a bit to energetic for most people I think, not a dog for someone not used to dogs for several years to be honest.
have a great day now!

Hi Mona!
Those dogs are not even half the size of my dogs, weigh around 40 pounds I think, but energetic as few. Thankfully they all loves my diógs :-) But old Erna doersn´t like them at all, they have irritaded her so much so now she has bitten all of them I think. They simply didn´t understand that Erna is the queen of the universe before that bite :-) :-)

If the daylilies leaves is dead there´s no problem pulling them of, at least not in Your climate. Here it can be a good thing to let them stay though, so the old leaves protects the roots during winter from cold and rain. But as long as the leaves is green they have to stay, because they gives the roots a lot of energuý to next years bloom.
Have a great day now!
