It´s still dark outside when I´m going to work, so today I´m showing You a picture from yesterdays sun set.

No one won the big lottery this weekend, so now we can win even more. Well we can, but almost all, all but one woun´t win these money. But it is at leat exiting as long as no one wins it, the chanse is till there for all of us :-)

I had to show You a picture I took yesterday. Hector is usually never still for more than a couple of seconds, so this was a rare moment I couldn´t miss :-)

The pictures today comes from our walks yestaredy and today.
It´s been a wonderful evening today and I heard that it was an even more wonderful day. So they said at least. I have no idea to be honest, I can´t see the outside while working. But it was atleats very warm inside the factory and it usually is if the sun shines. My workplace can be a nightmare during warm summers. The sun is warming up the factory and I work beside a big owen where the paint is "baked" :-) I also have the big warm washing mashine that washes everything I´m going to paint. But during winter my workplace is heaven :-) Then it´s the only place in the factory where it´s nice and warm. As soon as people from ather places in the factory gets a chance, they come in to me and gets warm by the owen :-) Today it was something in between, because it was really cold this late night and morning.

We call this Autumn Aster. They usually flowers even if we get strong frost. Other asters doesn´t.

Can You see the spider on the lily?

Most of the flies that I have hated all summer is now gone. So one should think that I´m happy as a bird now. But NO! There is still one flie that I hate even more that starts to make our lives bad :-) It´s the Moose flie or as it also is called the Deer louse. Normally they don´t bite humans, only the different deers we have. Those they do bite can get a påroblem that most people doesn´t know of. Peolpe that do get bitten can start to lose some of their hair. One of my neighbours wondered why she lost a lot of hair every autumn found out that it probably is these flies doing that. I don´t get bitten, but I get cold shivers down my spine just by thinking of them.

Another picture with Hector in it standing still! This must be my lucky day :-)

The flie is rather small, like a house fly. But the trouble with it is that it just laughes at You if You hit it. It just continues to crawl to a place where it can see bare skin. Its legs sort of hooks themselves in to what ever clothes they are walking on, or Your hair. You hit it and hit it and it doesn´t even get bothered by it. On mooses they dig in like a tic and loses its wings. When it has been drinking enough blood it just drops its larvaes to the ground and . Sometimes I wake up at night feeling something crawling on me, most probably it´s a moose flie. It can stay hidden in my hair all day and start wondering around at night. Or they can stay on my dogs too ofcourse and fly around inside at night. I really hate them! Thankfully their season is very short, so after a couple of weeks they are all gone again. Here´s a link to Wikipedia if You want to see how the wonderful little monster looks like: Älgfluga
Just thinking about this makes me feel like there is something crawling around on me!
So now I´ll try to forget this and make myself some tea.
Have a great day now!

I´ll finish todays blog with pictures of the violettes still flowering in my garden.

Lovely sunset photo, WOW. Hector looks like he's modeling for a Christmas card. So sorry you didn't win the Lottery, try again. I think our Powerball just rose to $95 million. Is that the portal we are seeing in that one photo that almost looks black and white. Great lighting. Enjoy your tea.

Christer.

Hi Z&M!
It could be a nice christmascard, but when I do my own christmas cards they will never be cute in any way :-) :-) You woun´t find anything christmaslike in my christmascards :-) :-)

Yes, it is the portal. No autumncolors there Yet though, so I thought I´d make a bit different picture of the Portal this time.
Have a great day now!

Hi Joyce!
Yes those flies are terrible! But the season is at least short :-) :-)

I can send some of our cold weather to You :-) Well the days are wonderful, but the nights Hu!

I think You´re right with no more tests! The best healer is usually rest and no stress. I think she´ll be ok in a couple of days!

I´m not sure why he wants to be a model all of a sudden. Perhaps he wants to get payed with dog candy :-) :-) :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

I like you dog Hector...I love all animals. I have a little one Zuni, she is half pug and half chihuahua. She likes to put up a look of a mean dog with her hair all standing up and her growling/barking...but it is all for show.
So how many hours are stay dark there?
I hope you enjoyed your tea. Have a great evening at home today.

beautiful violets, Christer! aren't flowers indeed uplifting?! wow, Hector preparing to "hibernate"?! perhaps slowing down a bit... he really is lovely!give him a hug for me!

ohhh those flies, we have so much of them here! they don't bite..but, they're sooooo annoying and are carriers of a lot of germs.
so, i prevent them to come near us by being careful about trash accumulation. we try our best to segregate and use up the biodegradables for fertilizer and other stuff. the non-bio we try as much a spossible to re-use. i'm an advocate of reducing waste by reducing consumption- consume just what is enough. in that way we get to live a simple life, too...

enjoy your day!

it's always great to drop by...be well always!

Moose fly...I'm so glad we don't have it here! Your pictures are beautiful. Now that the days are getting shorter, I hope to have more time to read the blogs I've been missing.
Do you get to listen to music while you work? That would make the day go faster & be more pleasant.

Christer.

Hi Diane!
I ocfcorse, thinks that he´s wonderful :-) Incrediable smart like his old grandmother. A bit calmer thankfully, she destroyed three refridgirators in my last home :-) :-)

Pug? what is that? I usually knows the different breeds names in english, but here I´m lost :-) But You´ve showed a picture of Your dog and she is wonderful!

At this moment we still have more daylight than darkness here, but in winter the sun goes up just before nine am and goes down just after three pm. So it is about six hours daylkight then. But in sumnmer it´s the opposite way :-)

Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi W.W!
I need flowers to keep on going I feel. So I always tries to have at least one flowering pot plant during winter.

Usually Hector gets even more active during winter :-) He can´t stand summer heat and loves when temperatures goes down much under frost poit :-) I think he was just kind yesterday :-)

Here it´s the bog that produces all flies, it´s a paradise for them. And all animals draws them near us all. I´m not a fan of them :-) :-) :-)

We only gets our trash bins emptied once every month here in the country side, so we all uses our composts and burn what ever we can burn. If we don´t take care of our trash the flies is the smallest problem here, then we get problems with rats instead. So most of us have cats too.
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Barb!
Nice to see You here again!
I really hate these flies, but thankfully they only stay in the forest so I´m not bothered by them when going on the open fields.

When it comes to music at work the management don´t care if we listen to music. But the songwriters union (well it´s not a union but I know no better word) say that we have to pay a lot of money to a special fond. If we don´t we are not allowed to listen to music. We don´t say if we listen to music or not :-) :-) :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.
