And so the frost came.

Already when I got up this morning I could feel that it must be cold outside. The first frost of the autumn had come. My car was glittering in the moon light and the grass arround it was pure white. This came as no surprise though, the first frost usually comes at this time of the year. Inside my mind I was thinking, great! the last flies of the year must have died now :-)

Buttercups still flowers in the forest.

This is what we call KarlJohans mushroom comming up from the ground. This is a delicious mushroom and we export a lot of them to Italy where they see it as a delicacy.

But when I came home and started to mowe the lawn I realised that all the flies had survived after all :-) Normally the first frost is heavy here in the village and kills most insects that isn´t well enough protected, but it wasn´t that hard late night so they survived. But I hope that it at least scared the fly that stung me a couple of days ago :-) :-) :-)

Now we will peobably have a couple of more frost nights, if the sky is clear. After that we usually get a period with warmer weather again. But from October, if everything is like it should, it will probably get downhill when comming to temperatures. But these last years things haven´t been like they should. Three years ago the winter arrived in late April, before that we had autumn during the whole wintertime.

I still get fever now and again and now my throat feels really soar. But now I have the whole weekend to relax on, so on Monday I probably will be totally ok again. But until then I´ll drink a lot of tea and read my books.
Have a great day now!

Hi Z&M!
I think that is a very good reason :-) :-)

It is already going down in temperature outside so it´ll probably be frost this night too. I haven´t brought in my plants yet, but they usually manages some frost in early autumn.
Have a great day now!

Hi Joyce!
I can at least hope that this specifik fly died! All the others can live a while more :-) :-)

I´ll try to send some cooler weather Your way :-) We call that warmer period for "Brittsommar" (Britt is a female name and that warmer period usually comes around her Name Day).

I haven´t seen any pumpkins over here yet, but they will turn up closer to Halloween. We don´t celebrate Halloween really, but the pumpkins turn up then anyway :-)

I hope Teddy is getting better and that You´ll have a great day now!

Hi Christer! must be wonder-full to see the first frost as the season changes...

how good for you to see the seasons change...and great of you to keep us updated with the shifting seasons...must be so interesting and relaxing to watch the way nature transforms and unfolds into forever beautiful colors, textures, sights and sounds...you seem to enjoy nature much!

i'm looking forward to visiting the La Mesa watershed as soon as the rains stop! it's just about an hour's travel from my place, moving out into the suburbs. taking a walk in the forest is so much a breather...away from city strife... we've had soooooo much rain for two weeks now. we've had three typhoons in a month! it's typhoon month anyway. we're expecting stronger ones soon..i just hope farmers will be prepared much for this. i sympathize and grieve with them when floods destroy the crops because of too much rain...but of course, farmers always love the rain, but not too much dear Lord...

you too have a good day, Christer, it's always so refreshing to visit your blog!...

Hi W.W!
My perfect life would be for me to live here during spring, summer and early autumn and the rest of the year to experience the same thing in perhaps New Zealand or southern Australia/Tasmania :-) I´m not a big winter fan :-) :-)

I went out on the net to see some pictures from La Mesa watershed and it looks wonderful! I can understand why You like to ngo there!

Here the farmer always complain about the rain. It´s eithet too much or too little for them :-) and when is enough everyone gets so much crops that the prices fall and then they complain about that :-) :-) :-) But I´m glad that we get the rain more even spread over the year here than You in the Philipines gets it. I hope the typhoons don´t get to strong for You!
I´m glad You stopped by!
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Christer.
