I love sunrises, but there´s nothing wrong with the moon either.

It was a lovely morning today, the night had been warm and the sun shined like a summer morning. Now the winds are quite strong and it has started to rain. A rain they say we will have for a couple of days at least. Well we need it so I wount complain even if I like to :-) As You know they aren´t to grate with planning at my work place, so even if we really have loads to do, we had nothing to paint today :-) So I took the chanse to clean the big filters we have after the paintbox. Every now and again we have to get rid of all powder paint and it takes a couple of hours to clean it all.

We still have some strawberries in the forest and unlike the rasp berries these are still delicious.

Now the grounds are so dry that mushrooms gives up.

I filled seven big barrels with the powder and when I was going to take it away I sort of hit my paintbox with the forklift I used. Not especially hard, but more a slight touch :-) Well the paintbox stands on two rails and I managed to push this heavy thing of the rails. It just took a couple of hours to get it back on the rails again :-) and we only destroyed one electric cable while moving the paintbox:-)

We call this mushroom for "smoke mushroom". When it´s still white it´s a rather good mushroom, but when black like this it´s unedible. Kick on it and spores will fly out from it looking like smoke :-)

My tomatoes are getting more and more colors now, but it takes so long time!
They are going to close the petrolstation in the village Kvänum the last of September. Not because it doesn´t make a profit, no just because it has a low turnover. That makes me a bit annoyed. I could have understood it if the station didn´t give a profit, who can have a buisness without doing a profit? But it doesn´t make a profit big enough!! I´ve always thought that any profit was good enough, but I was wrong I guess. It has been perfect being able to put petrol in my car on my way to or from work when I needed to, but after the last of September I´ll have to drive an extra long way just to fill it up. That annoyes me even more!

A Marsh mallow.

The perennial sunflower "Maximilians sunflower.

The common annual sunflower grows just beside Maximilian. The seed came from the tallow balls I hang out as food to the birds at wintertime.
I can now tell You that the swelling and itching is gone :-) It almost drove me mad yesterday evening and this morning it was gone. I have no idea what it was that stung me, some say that my pants are too thick for a deer fly to reach. So most people think it was a European Hornet (Vespa crabro) , they can be almost black in color. They are a rarity here so perhaps I should be proud? :-) But they usually don´t sting people without a very good reason, compared with other wasps /yellowjackets they are friendly gigants. So I guess I´ll never know what it was. Anyway, it´s over for this time and I hope it never happens again :-)
Have a great day now!

This and the comming two pictures is from comming home from a walk with my dogs.

Christer, what are those white things..some sort of fence? Everything looks so green! We are dried up and burned out here in California...but...the lawn is green..at least for now. :)

I didn't realize that this was part of your last post...and I just wanted to add that I love your photograph of the moon! I am always amazed by the different and odd growths you have in Sweden.

Christer...have you ever thought of ..growing and selling plants from your home? I have driven long distances to go to a good nursery and so have others I have known. Just a thought. :)
I guess you can tell I know little about such things...and there is probably a lot more to it than I know.

Hi Mona!
The white things are silage balls photographed from a rather long distance :-) We call them snowballs over here :-) Unfortunally they are not as beautiful as hay drying outside like in the old days.

I´m a bit surprised that it still is so green here, it´s really dry in the grounds now. But I think it´s because of the drought that autumn colors are comming already.

I did think of selling plants from my home before buying the gardencenter, but nowdays I usually give away the extra plants I get. We are a bunch of people that meets a couple of times everey summer exchanging our surplus :-) Ofcourse I give away plants to others too, but usually people thinks that only because I have perhaps not the most common plants, that they are difficult to grow :-) If I have seeds I give them away to any one that wants them too, no matter where on this little planet they live :-)
Have a great day now!

As usual you out done yourself in photos...they are lovely. Glad to hear you "cheek" is better! I too love mornings but I also love the night especially when the moon is big and bright. One of my fav's is the harvest moon(s)...when it is just appearing and it is full, and huge and orange in color...just awesome.
We also have March mallows that grow wild here. It is too dry here for mushrooms but in Oregon where I just came from...yeppers we had the mushrooms! Mushroom picking in the fall is big business for Oregon...lots of people can make big bucks.
Well I gotta run...have a sweet day eh?

hi christer....we call those mushrooms 'ghost mushrooms' because when you step on them a ghost rises up from them! now you will waste gas driving to buy gas. unreal, eh? my post will be up a bit late today because my son still helps me and he has late classes on thursdays. i really have to learn how to do this all on my own! joyce

Hi Diane!
Thanks! I like these pictures too. Yes the harvest moon is so beautiful! But it´s a bit difficult to capture the color of the moon, sometimes ir works, sometimes it doesn´t.

March mallows don´t grow wild here (originally I might ad, but they are sometimes garden runners here), but many of us have them in our gardens.

Mushrooms have become big buissnes here too, we export rather much down to southern europe, especially Italy I´ve heard. But I´m happy if I get enough for a warm sandwich :-)
I´ll have a sweet evening and You, have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Joyce!
That was a good name on that mushroom! :-)

It´s annoying to have to drive a lot longer, using more petrol than normally, just to get petrol in the car! But here I at least have petrolstations not to far away. Up north in some places they have to drive perhaps hundred miles to find a petrolstation, just because the station didn´t give enough profit!!

Well if I can´t read Your blog today, I´ll read it tomorrow! But it´s quite easy to get the pictures in to the blog, as long as one remembers where the pictures are in the computor :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

We really need electric cars, solar or steam, anything but gas as this is getting rediculous. Every time I turn around someone else has a petro story and never are they any good. Start selling these gorgeous photos you post here daily, Christer. That will offset what it costs to get to the gas station to fill up. Great shots today. Thanks.

Christer.

Hi Z&M!
Yes I would love to have an electric car, but they do cost a fortune over here. There is one other problem with electric cars here to. They use salt to defrost our roads in winter, lots of it! How will an electric car manage all that salt, electricity and salt is never a good combination :-) :-) :-)

I wonder if anyone would buy my photoes :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Tammy!
I was a tough time :-) But now it´s over!

To be honest I wouldn´t have the faintest idea how to get my puctures sold :-) :-) I´ll have to check that out I think!
Have a great day now!
