This is how the roads look where I live. Usually with forest all around and as You can see on the "snowballs" small fields where they grow grass and herbs to make silage.

I got up early this morning so that I and my dogs could take a morning walk before I drove away to put color on my pottery things. They had promised sun today, but that was a bit optimistic to be honest. The sun started to shine here now at 6:11 pm :-)

I drow west today and soon the forest ends and the great plains starts. It´s almost absolutly flat all the way. Not a great place for downhill skiing :-)

And it goes on and on

and on and on

and on and on until the mountines comes. If I´m correct these mountines once was the beaches to one of the biggest lakes ever. After the gigant ice covered our country the melting water was covering most of southern Sweden and only the mountines west kept all the water from going out to the ocean. I´ve heard on the radio that it probably was one of the biggest earthquakes ever that made the mountines to crack and let the water out. The rest of that lake is nowdays the Baltic sea.

I love to drive this way during early mornings. Later on the day it´s a nightmare. If they warn about a collition on any road on trhe radio, one can be sure that it is on this road. I can´t understand why though, nothing is making it difficult to see what´s happening on the road.

The castle ruins in Kungälv. A couple of days ago I heard on the radio that it actully was the governement sometimes in the 18th century that ordered it to be blown up. It had been a prison before that, but it became to expensive and not especially modern, so they gave the order. People in the city was then allowed to pick all stones they needed for free.

In the middle of the 19th century they changed their minds and ordered to rebuild the place again :-) There were ofcourse not enough stones left to rebuild it all and this is what it looks like now.

This is just two pieces that our teacher has made, wish it was I :-)

We were only two persons that came today so we got all the atiension we wanted. I chosed to paint most of what I´ve made in Iron oxide and another oxide that I have forgotten what kind it is :-) By using these oxides I can get colors from almost red brown to pitch black.

My snail, my cats head (mountine lion I think we agreed on) and the bird bath.

And to the right close to You is the welcome sign I made.
In swedish we write Välkommen, not to far from english really.

For a moment I did wonder if the snails shell should be green, but decided that I wanted it to go from light brown to almost black. That is if I got enough oxide on it. To little and it becomes dark brown instead. The same on my cats head too. It´ll be darker on the nose and behind the ears and brownish on the rest.

You can´t see it now, but this will be green when burned again :-) As it is now one cant even read the text or see the prints I´ve maid :-)

It looks very orange on this picture and the picture lies. It´s more brown-red. The dark red parts will become almost black if I have put on enough iron oxide.

The cats head will be brown exepy for the nose and the backside of the ears, they will become almost black. That is if they hold for another burning that is, one never knows if they do that.
The bird bath I woun´t show now, that´ll be a surprise.

I took another way home and saw these two windmills.

I drowe to my oldest brother on my way home and got rather many books from him, mostly thrillers and murder mysterie books :-) Now I can have something to read all autumn if I want too :-)

Now I only have to wait for the second burning of my clay things and then I can take them home. Lets hope that they make it through the second burning too!
