It is a sunny and quite cold morning here by the Cranelake. No wind though so it was really enjoyeble to take our morning walk some hours ago. I got a bit surprised when I opened the door and looked into the eyes of a deer. I tried to take a picture of it, but You know how it is with digital cameras. First You have to start it, then it has to decide wether it wants to get started or not. After that it has to decide if it is in the mood for taking a picture at all. If it wants to take a picture it then has to focus on the object too. When all this is finished the deer has grown old and died out in the forest somewhere :-) :-)

So no picture of that deer. But I heard many deers making warning sounds out in the forest during our walk. It must have been a fox or something disturbing them, because there were no signs of any more humans besides me being outside.

The world is really beautiful after frost nights. Everything has a thin white layer ans is sparkling in the light from the sun. Unfortunally cameras seemes to have problems catching that sparkling on to the pictures. The birds has now finally understood that there´s food in the feeders and I have seen birds by them that I´ve never seen here before. My old camera had better zooming capacity than my new camera, so I only get the birds as small spots in the pictures. I´m thinking of reparing my old one, but that would probably cost more than to buy yet another new camera :-)

All my dogs and cats are sleeping and I can hear my America clock ticking in the kitchen. Outside is almost as quiet as it is inside. I should really drive to the store today to buy something to eat, but I think I have enough here at home to last yet another day. So now I´ll make myself a cup of coffee (I have no tea at home) and then I´ll just enjoy the quietness.
Have a great day now, I will!

No tea? That sounds like Panicsville over there. Christer, get your butt to the store. And hey, when the camera finally gave you the ready signal did you take a picture of the dead deer? I wonder. That's soooo funny to think of you standing there asking the deer to hold that pose. He probably just out ran a hunter. I guess we shoot bear up there next week, eh? Have another cup of coffee! Me too.

Hi Z&M!
Well it´s a bit left to panic though :-) :-) Coffee makes a good substitute :-)

It just wouldn´t listen to me whan I asked it to saty :-) Unfortunally I couldn´t wals out into the forest to find the corpse, there were already hunters out there :-) :-) But I never heard any shot so I think it died of old age :-) :-) It was a Fallow deer and they are so beautiful.

I wonder what would happen here if a bear wandered in to the village? I actully thinks that they would leave it alone.
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Christer.

Hi Joyce!
Yes the froet on leafs are so beautiful, it´s a shame it has to be so cold :-) :-)

If one looks hard enough one can always find something to eat :-) I just didn´t want to drive so far when I could go that way after work today.
Have a great day now!

Hi Weena!
I couldn´t but laugh too :-) That deer will never stand so close to my home again, that´s for sure :-)

It´s fantastic how the frost sort of freezes in those patterns. One can´t but love it!
