After the rain and snow the storm came last night. Most of the time my little cottage was protected against it by the forest and my neighbours cottage, bot now and again the wind took other directions making my little home shaking and squeking. Those nights it´s sure nice to have a warm fire in the stove and a good thriller to read :-) like some of Stephen Kings best books :-) I remember reading Cujo when a storm, much worse than the one last night, was passing by. The dog didn´t scare me at all, but there´s a monster in a closet that really scared me. I couldn´t sleep at all that night :-) :-)

If going up early means going up when the sun does, I was up early today. I got up at seven am, but the sun doesn´t show itself until quarter to eight. We took our walk down to the creek. I wanted to go early that way because some of the hunters wants to start hunting for any kind of deer around nine am and it´s not a good idea to wander around there then :-)

We did see a couple of deers, but not where the hunters wants them, so I think they´ll be safe for today at least :-) It´s a wonderful morning! There´s still some wind but the sun is shining and it´s fairly warm compared to the previous days. Hector is sleeping in my bed, Erna in her basket, Orvar by my feet and Bertil beside Hector in the bed. Teodor has decided it´s time to do something about the magpies :-) The smaller birds don´t care about him, on the contrary. Every time he shows up they can stay by the feeders enjoying the seeds. But when he´s gone the magpies comes and scares all small birds away. The magpies can´t reach the seeds in the feeders, they are to big for that, but they do eat anything that falls out of the feeders. So every time they come close the smaller birds fly away and some seeds then falls to the ground. They are especially fond of the pea nuts.

I´ve forgotten to show You these two pictures of Bertil the cat. I decided to only take pictures og him during one of our walks in the forest. As soon as he noticed the camera he was almost impossible to take pictures of. Finally he showed me some kindness and started to pose on this tree stump :-) Out of almost fifty taken pictures, six can be used :-) :-)

Now I´ll take a little nap I think and then it´s time for yet another walk with my dogs. The sun will go down before six pm so one better take advantage of the daylight when one has the possibilty to do so.
Have a great day now!

Hi Christer, wow cold brrrr We seem to be finally having some days without rain, and were finally able to begin the fence for our chicken run.

I was thinking of your wet dogs (hard for them if they take a long time to dry) and them lying on your bed to keep you warm. Toby has a double coat and so he seems to to dry quickly..he only stays on the bed till we are both in it, he gets off and goes on his bean bag, only to jump back up in the morning when the sun is up (early in summer later in winter).

I had a very interesting cup of tea today it is called white tea, basically it seems it is just the tips of the bushes dried naturally so not dark coloured like normal tea. It was light and quite fruity not quite the same as green tea so I am not sure what they actually do with it..lol
Just thought I would share with another tea person.

Hi Aussimade!
Before the wind started again it was quite nice outdoors. But now there´s a gale strong wind and the cold winds gets into ones bones!

My dogs have the same sort of slightly oily fur like Newfoundlands has, their great grandfather was a Newfoundland, so the weat fur is no problems to them. But I know that many dogs get problems if they don´t drie up fast.

I´ve tried white tea but it´s nothing for me I feel. It was much like drinking hot water with a slight tast of hay :-) :-) So I´ll continue with my green and black tea :-) I´m glad that I´m not the only one wondering what to do with it :-) :-) :-)
Have a great day now!

Hi Joyce!
Those pictures came out rather good. But if it wasn´t for him posing they would never have been :-) :-) As soon as he saw the camera he dissapered behind trees and shrubs :-)

I could never hunt my self and it is a bit annoying not to be able to walk around like Im used to.

The fire is already started in the stove :-)
Have a great day now!

To be honest, I don´t think he liked it at all. But he understood that I wouldn´t stop trying taking some pictures of him until I became successful :-) :-) :-)

I see the water is running in the creek. WOW. Now it looks really natural and like it should. Had to wait until almost winter for the rains to make it flood. Very nice photos. Moose? Now Deer? Are the Swedes running a tad short of food shopping stores over there? What is next? Turkey or Cranes? I'm not sure I would like living there afterall. But it's nice to see your world in pictures. Hi to Bertil. Good going as we have the same problem here. . . 50 photos and 5 keepers. Have a good weekend.

Hi Z&M!
Deer season is much longer, I´m not sure how long but it started a couple of weeks ago and will continue for at least the year ending. I don´t know why there´s a difference in how long they are allowed to hunt them, but that´s the way it is.

But Cranes are protected and we don´t have turkeys on this continent.

Yes, finally the creek is filled with water. I can´t remember how long ago we had so little rain here. But more rain is on its way so now it will be an even higher atwrelevel :-)

I have to be happy about that result when it comes to taking pictures of Bertil :-) :-)
Have a great day now!
