We call this little flower for Forest star. I´ve tried to get it in to my garden but without success.

The sun is shining and the wind has for once stopped blowing. It´s not a heat reckord day as they thought yesterday, but that´s as good I think. I don´t like it when temperatures rises over 25c (77F) and it´s just below that now. Exept from birds there´s not a sound out in the village, not even the cows says anything. I can´t even hear car sounds from the big road, but that will come when city folks drive home from their summerhouses sometimes around six pm.

One thing that is great here is that no one uses any kind of poison here. So I never have to worry about things my dogs or cats starts to eat on our walks.

My dogs are sleeping in my bedroom at the coldest spot on the floor. They don´t stay to long at one place but rises and search for a new colder spot within ten minutes. I´ve tried to make them go down in my cold cellar but then they can´t hear or see whats happening in their little kingdom. My cats are probably sleeping under my rose bushes. They are quite big and from there they can see everything that happens in the garden without being spotted them selves.

I woke up this morning more tired than I was yesterday when going to bed. It felt like death had come for a short visit during the night :-) But after having been to the store buying strawberries and icecream (there were other things I bought too, it´s to far away just to buy strawberries and icecream :-) ) and then taking a short nap I feel great again. During my nap I got a phonecall and sms on my mobile phone. I didn´t recognize the number and couldn´t find it on any telephone information company so I don´t care to answer. I didn´t feel like playing miniature golf anyway :-)

This is a ditch, not a little pond but they dug to deep here. So even if there´s no water in the ditch, there´s always water here. A perfect place for insects to live in.

It´s time for a cup of tea I feel, or perhaps a whole pot. It´s to hot to sit on the kitchen stairs right now, but I can sit on the stairs by my entrance instead and watch my neighbours cows. If I´m really lucky I might get a chanse to see the nesting crane couple too. They had thier nest there last year so perhaps they have it there this year too.
Have a great day now!

It´s harder and harder to keep up with reading blogs now when summer comes. And to have to change car as quickly as You had to do disturb the daily programs :-)

My boss never phoned back, but he´s nevar really mad for things like this. Tired perhaps but never mad.It was an accident and besides that, he is afraid of conflicts, something I showed that I´m not :-)

I´ll make it up to him somehow. I was clumsy so I think I´ll have to be nice for a while now :-)
Have a great day now!

hi christer.....dogs are so smart. as soon as it gets hot here my pup comes in the house. she had a close cal with heat stroke last year. i was worried i would have trouble getting her to come in but she is smart enough now to know that heat is dangerous. she is a chow and has a very heavy coat. when fist got her i taught her to lay in front of a fan. now i have a big industrial type fan on a stone floor. she lays right in front of it on the cool stone and falls into a deep sleep. i also hate it when it gets too hot and especially humid. that will be happening soon. right now i am enjoying a wonderful cool breezy sunny day.

Hi joyce!
Yes they really are smart. Your beautiful chow must have problems with the heat so it´s a good thing You tought it. Wonder if my dogs would tolerate a fan or if they see it as something as bad as the vacumecleaner :-)

Thankfully we don´t get it as humid as You do over here, I´ve heard how it can be on Your continent. We seldom get it as hot either. Round 77F is normal, but of course we get weeks when it gets over 86F. The hottest day last year was over 93F and that I can be without :-)
Have a great day now!

I'm drinking iced tea today Christer, it's 98 degrees here and humid and I spotted a feral cat yesterday who is now back for more food. He/She will be on my doorstep for the summer for sure. But what a cute cat she is, black with a big white patch on her chest. I love the country pictures today as always, the forest star flower is lovely. My wife's friend Kyong planted some flowers from her garden earlier in the year and we see them coming up now all along the outside of our flower beds. Enjoy your tea!

hey christer...somehow i just noticed i did not sign up to follow your bog. well, i am signed up officially now. don't know how that happened!

Hi Z&M!
We only reached 81 here, but that was hot enough for me :-)

We don´t have a lot of feral cats here, the once we have here get adopted by the farms so they´ll catch mice for them, because no one uses poison to get them here.

It´s always nice to se plants comming up :-)
Have a great day now!

OH dear..you would never make it in Southern California, Christer. It gets as hot as 110 sometimes..and we aren't even IN the desert. However, we are on the edge! I hate the heat...but the rest of the year is lovely...

Hi Mona!
I always thought that it´s different if one always lives in Your climate. Here we´re used to coldness and darkness a big part of the year, so when the warm weather comes it takes a lot for us to get used to it. But a 110 is to much anyway I think :-)
Have a great day now!
