Here at home the apple trees have some time left before they bloom, but in the old orchard at work they have started.

Do You know that Sweden isn´t mentioned even once in our national anthem? The closest it comes is “I will live and I will die in the Nordic”. This might seeme strange but it isn´t really. It was created when we were in union with Norway and it wouldn´t be a good thing for the union if the norwegians had to sing that they wanted to live and die in Sweden :-) Now and again there is a suggestion from some of the newspapers that we should change the anthem, but to be honest most of us like the one we have.

Though I like our little anthem it´s not my favourite amongst anthems. The cold war was still going on when I grew up and in every big sport event I heard this melodi. It seemed they won everything in those days, the russians or sovjets as they were called then. It didn´t matter when I turned on the tv, the russian anthem was always played :-) Well the US anthem was also played really often, but to be honest it is a bit difficult for most people to sing along with :-) Well I didn´t sing along to the russian either, mostly I hummed along with it because it didn´t have any text in those days (and even if it had had a text I wouldn´t care to learn it, they had an ideologi that I never liked). They had removed that long time ago because it didn´t really follow the party line and that was importan in those days :-) :-)

Other trees like poplars and

So when Russia wanted to break with its past they changed anthem to one that nobody liked. I sort of felt lost every time there were a big sport event and they played the new one. To be honest, they didn´t play that one many times either. They didn´t win as much any more. This was at the same time russian women suddenly started to look as women too, strange coinsedent don´t Youy think :-) :-) I sort of miss those days when russian women athlets with a big mustach and beard said “No I don´t take doping “ with a deep manly voice :-) :-)

maples are now taking over in the orchard.

So guess if I was happy when the russian leaders got the idea to change back to the old one again. It´s still not played especially often compared with the old days (and their women still looks like women :-) ). But nowdays I at least have the chance to hear it once in a while. There is a big chanse that they´ll play it later today, but I think it most probably will be the canadian that is palyed when the ice hockey game is over. The swedish was just played when we became the bronz medallist :-) Sorry my friends in the US. Your players got to many penalties I´m afraid.

Isn´t it beautiful? The dandylions flowers not far from my cottage. No idea to get rid of them at home then is it :-)

My intentions today was to write about ice cream because I bought some on my way home. Did You know that an ice cream pakage mostly contains air?
Now it´s time for a cup of tea and some ice cream and then just wait for that favourite anthem of mine :-)
Have a great day now!

Here at home the crabapples slowly is spreading. It´s a myth that if You sow an apple seed the apples gets inedible. The truth is that they very often tastes rather good. But they can be small or the tree will get different sicknesses. I haven´t tasted the apples from this tree, but I will in autumn :-)

Yes! Always also loved the russian anthem! (...though not their earlier regim!!) And tonight they won!! (hockey) So now there is a chance we will hear it agagin! Hurrah!;-)

I think we are quite many that loves the Russian anthem, it is very beautiful. Doesn´t have to love their regim just because of that thankfully :-)
Have a great day now!

Christer.

Oh..wow..those are some of your best pictures of flowers! Ice Cream..what a great subject. You can talk all day long about that subject..and I would be here to listen. I LOVE ice cream!
Oh, now, you don't have to rub it in that our players got so many penalties!! Gee Whiz!! :) You best be careful out there taking pictures from a moving car. I don't want to have to fly over there and help dig you out of a ditch! :)

Hi Mona!
Yes, those appleflowers came out good on my pictures :-)

I drove really slowly and the ditches are very shallow there :-) :-)
Have a great day now!
