This is one of the easiest and simplest wreaths You can do. I could have made it less "fluffy" around the edges but my mood wasn´t the best that Saturday. I had picked some acorns and maple seeds to have in it too, but the wreath will become brown after a while and then they would be hard to see. I felt that it had been some time since I last made one :-) Normally it would take ten minutes at the most making a wreath like this (but better), now it took half an hour :-) :-)

So I went to the hospital on tuesday to meet a rheumatic specialist and also a physiotherapists and an occupational therapists. I went there believing we would talk about one disease (psoriasis artheritis), but went home after talking about another disease (Bechterews disease) :-) The doctor examined me and asked me after al symptoms I could describe. After a while she asked if I ever had back pains and I told her that I had had that twice and that it was something of the worst pain I´ve ever had. So she asked me if I had any pain now and I said no. But if I put my fingers here she said and pressed them towards my lower spine.

I didn´t realise that one could have such back pains without knowing it :-) :-) :-) But I did know it after her pressing her fingers there :-) :-) So next week I´ll x-ray my spine. Well I can´t say that I´m happy to have this disease but it is much better than psoriasis artheritis. The best way to treat this illness is actually to have a job like I have and to have dogs that forces me to take walks every day :-) The more active I am, the better I will feel. I will also continue with the anti inflammatoric pills I already hav and I have also started taking pills against ulcer. Not that I have any ulcer, but the medicine will prevent me from getting one.

Otherwise it has been a normal week. Perhap not normal because we now have an Australian man working in our factory. He will stay with us for a couple of weeks and afte that he will travel to Canada competing in snowboard of some kind (most probably one of the more extreme kinds, austarlians usually does that :-) :-)  ). He used to do that before but injured his back so he had to stop. But now he´ll try once again and I hope he will be successful. But there´s one problem, even though most sweeds speaks rather good english we are ashamed over our broken english. So it´s only I and the one he works with that speaks to him.

I never miss a chanse to speak english, it happens so seldome out here in the countryside. I really don´t want him to feel to isolated either. How fun is it standing there with nobody to talk too all day. I brought him on a little tour through tha factory today and it´s one thing talking english on a video showing it here and a totally different thing talking it "live" :-) :-) But it´s fun and if we would have any problems understanding each other we just try to say it again in a slightly different way :-) :-) :-)

It looks like I will have troubles getting the highest grade in the daily dozen in National Geographic. I have the fith highest grade at the moment but it is a bit to much behind I´m afraid. But I thank You all for voting on my photo. I´ll let Tou know if I get a new chanse with another photo :-)
Have a great day now!

Christer.

I think it's wonderful that you have a chance to practice on your spoken English... and I'm sure your co-worker feels less lonely... love the pix, today... display many moods and all delightful... I'm not sure how I feel about your diagnosis... does it replace what you thought you had, earlier, or is it in addition?... I'm glad you keep active with the pets, too, because exercise is so right for so many physical problems... keep us posted...

I wish you well with the xrays and this new disease. It's lucky that you have the right job, how horrible if they said you had to find another!
Love all the photos! That one of the apples is so vivid!
You are so kind to talk English to the Australian.
Can i vote more than once for your photo? is it too late?
I'm going to go back and try voting again, and again (LOL!)
After all, it IS the best!

Hi Sharlene!
I won´t miss a chance talking tro him as long as he´s with us in the factory :-)

If I understood things right this replace the earlier diagnosis. They look similar in many ways in the beginning. For me this is great news. I´ve met peoiple with severe rheumatism that said "You poor devil" when they heard that I might have psoriasis artheritis and those people almost couldn´t move :-) :-) With this diagnosis I know that as long as I keep moving around, exersice and have a job like I have my problems will stay rather calm. There will be better days and worse naturally. Right now I only hope that my spine isn´t to damaged.

Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Cindi!
Sorry, but You can only vote once :-) Only if You do it from another computer. Belive me, I´ve tried :-) :-)

I jusy hope that my spine isn´t to damaged yet. But I will stay active all the time. But iut woukd have been nice if they had said I had to change to a desk job :-) :-) :-)

I´m afraid speaking english has nothing to do with kindness :-) :-) I´m having fun doing it :-) :-)

Have a great day now!
Christer.

hi christer....i love that wreath! sometime could you show me how you made it? i love trying to communicate with people who speak different languages. when my czech friends lived here, they were so embarrassed about their accent. believe me, their english was superior to my czech. and the funniest thing...when they were in czech republic, they spoke english all the time!!! your photos are gorgeous! joyce

Hi Joyce!
Remind me on Saturday if I haven´t taken photos on how I make a wreath until then. It´s rather easy when Yiu know how to do. But I think I´ll choose other leafs this time, I still have lots of rose thorns in my hands after this one :-) :-) :-)

I always wonder why people are embarresed when speaking another language, the important thing is that they actually speak :-) I have so much fun now and I don´t know when I get that chance again!

Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hello my friends !!!!!
Wow, the pictures are more beautiful every day !!!!!
And it looks like you guessed, I would learn to make a wreath.
I have hydrangeas in the garden, although this year have made blunders, pruning twice, they are delayed in flowering.
But really wanted to make a wreath of hydrangeas.
As for English, the shame in speaking other languages, is what hurt me most.
But Didi gave me a tip, so I use short sentences and simple.
Sometimes it works, sometimes does not work, but be sure to talk with your new friend.
As his health problem, I think you should do more exercises. will strengthen your muscles and you will have better quality of life.
But the pictures are spectacular!
Congratulations

What a lovely wreath. Your pictures are wonderful, I really love your countryside shots. Where you live is beautiful.

Sorry to hear about the disease, but hope you can learn things about it to help with it and give you less pain.

I think it is wonderful that you try to speak with the temporary worker at your factory. It must make him feel welcome, and it helps you with your English speaking. I think you are doing a good job with English.

Christer,
What a beautiful thing! I would love to have one in my door :)
Well ...the neighbors would not understand anything, because only here does something similar for Christmas and then with artificial leaves.

I hope you don't have anything in the column ... but yes...you can have pain without feeling terrible pain like a toothache. I felt tired a heavy, almost a pain ... ahhh difficult to explain.
Either way, you can live well with back problems since it makes the exercises correctly ... you know that your friend is a duck walking :) Just not very good when you have to back a little big like me... but patience if I try not to walk as duck the column hurts ....... then ... quac quac :)
Speak English can be fun even talk wrong or accent. Important is people to communicate.
kisses
Didi

I love the simplicity of that wreath Christer. It's a work of art. Very nice. Love the photos today too! Keep in mind there is always someone out there in more pain than you. I was diagnosed with Stage I cancer spreading to my liver so spend hours with back pain and the Chemo treatments are slowly killing me every two weeks now for six months. I gotta do it but the pain is always present and the pain pills don't last very long I'm afraid. So cheer up, take your medicine and thank God you don't have cancer.

Christer,
I enjoy making wreaths. One Christmas I made then for all the outside windows. I combed the fields looking for wonderful dried flowers and pods. The wreaths looked great.

I love the red against the green of yours. It is lovely.

I'm so glad you got a chance to use your English. You write it do well for someone for whom it is not a native language.

Hi Christer,
Love the wreath. I try to do those with things around my yard but it usually ends up a mess. I hang it anyway. It's an original work of art after all.

The second photo with the grass plumes lit up is beautiful. As for National Geographic site, I can think of one photo that was marginally better than yours but certainly not 4. If I had another computer, I would vote again.

Have a great day.

Fantastic wreath, Christer! I really like it. I also like the picture with the blue/purplish flowers.

I think I've figured why your photos are so fantastic. It's the light in your world. Amazing. So many of your photographs look like old masters paintings. A great advantage it is for you. You are an artist, no doubt.

Good luck with your ailments. I can certainly emphathize with pain.

Hi Andrea!
Thank You :-)
I´ll try to pick some leafs and perhaps some other things to show You how to make a wreath tomorrow, but the weather will be rather bad I´ve heard so I might wait until sunday.

It is sad that people are ashamed over how they speak languages, the important thing is to speak! not how it might sound.

Yes I have tro be very active with this disease, it´s the only way to stay as painfree as possible.

Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi FlowerLady!
Yes it is very beautiful here, but to be honest most of Sweden looks like this :-)

I hope he likes that I talk with him and translates what other says :-) I have a great time anyway :-)

Have a great day now!

Hi Didi!
We tend to make wreaths mostly in autumn and winter, especially around christmastime.

No my stomac is ok and with these new pills it will stay ok :-) At least we are walking :-) :-)doesn´t matter how it looks :-)

I agree, communication is important!
Have a great day now!

Hejsan Anja!
Javisst är det så, synd bara att folk då skall skämmas för hur de låter! Huvudsaken är väl att man försöker tycker jag!

Ja nu fårt det bli ett par extra promenader så att jag håller kroppen smärtfri!

Ha det gott!
Christer.

Hi Z&M!
I like simple wreaths too. It´s so easy to over work them with things.

I am really happy that I didn´t have anything worse, belive me! So I´m in a very good mood! This disease can be controlled rather good just with being active.

I´m sorry to hear about Your cancer! I never had to go through any chemo therapy when I was diagnosed with malignant melanoma. They got it so early that it never got a chance to spread. But I know how awful that can be. I hope it is effective on You!
You are in my prayers!
Christer.

Hi Kat!
I think having to do wreaths for a living sort of took the fun away in some way. I would never have the energy to make them to all my windows :-) :-) :-) But it must have looked impressive!

Even though red and green are typical christmas colors I thought it would look nice now too. Soon the wreath will be brownish anyway.

I take any chance I can to speak english, who knows I might be world famous one day :-) :-) :-)

Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Caryn!
Thank You :-)
I think the main thing is that the one making it likes it. This one is ok, I could have done it a bit different and perhaps not that "fluffy" around the edges. But I think that is a "disease" I have from making a living on them :-) :-) :-)

That grass photo is my favourite today, but the phlox is beautiful with its small ice droplets on the petals.

Thanks for voting the one time You could on Your computer!
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Sissy!
Yes I understand that we have a special kind of light up here in the north. The world known "Skagen painters" are famous just for that light.

I´m lucky that it was this disease I have, there are much worse things to get. This one may not be fun to have, I admit that. But it can be controlled rather well with just being active :-)

Have a great day now!
Christer.

Thanks Christer
But do not rush, my hydrangeas are still sprouting.
Where can I pick up the condominium, but I prefer to wait for mine!
Have more fun!
Hehehehe
Take care !!!!!
