It has been a couple of sad days here but life goes on after all. I will most probably still look around after old Erna wondering why ahe doesn´t turn up when we´re in the forest walking :-) and I will most likly take a jump when walking over her favourit green blanket in the livingroom so I won´t stumble on her (which I have several times in the past) :-) :-)

I am home from work today becvause I´m going to The town Skövde later today to meet a specialist in rheumatic diseases. I thought it was best to do that already now while I still can move around without to big troubles. If there is effective help to get to keep the pain away I want it :-) To many wait to long to get to a specialist normally.

Bertil had been out all night so he was sleeping on the couch when we took our walk. So for once Teodor decided to follow us on our walk.

The morning has been rather cold and foggy but it was wonderful to take the morning walk. We´ve had frost most mornings since last I wrote here, but today was only cold. Not a single mosquitoe or fly annoyed me and I could heare some migrating geese high up in the air.

I went to National Geographics web page when we came home and realised that my photo was choses as one of the "Daly Dozen" today. Every month they publish the photo that gets most points in the magazine and that would be fun. Anyone can vote there and I would be happy if You would vote on my photo. It´s the seventh photo in todays choises and the higher vote You give me the bigger chance I have to become the one getting published. But there are many other great photos there so be fair. You must vote for those photos before mine before You can vote on my photo. Here´s the link: Daily Dozen.

Take care now!

Susie

I voted for you lovely woodsy photo and I understand how items of Erna's will stay as reminders Christer. But they are healthy reminders. She was one of a kind and was your friend for a long time. She is happy now where she is bedded down, I'm sure. Great photos again today.

Oh Christer, I tried to leave a comment before, I was so worried about you. When I read about Erna's passing, my heart broke for you. I still mourn for my Maddie even though I have a houseful of doggies. I have in my thoughts and prayers and I know that there are no words that can comfort you but you have my deepest sympathies.

I will go now and vote for your photo...all of your photos are amazing. Take care my friend!
XOXO - Cindi

Hello Christer,
Good to see you again.
Today I remembered that you were going to the doctor, the date easy to remember, because today is our Independence Day.
I hope everything goes smoothly and there is a remedy that does not bring these unpleasant side effects.
I think the medicine seems a dishonest mechanic, you're going there to fix something and they break something else for you to come back more often hummmpff
Your photo has been chosen!
I tried to vote for you but without success. Doesn't appear anywhere where it says: Click here and vote, or anything similar. Scoured the site for instructions and didn't.
Maybe my web browser is blocking a pop up?
Ahh I don't understand and got lost ... it seems that isn't this time I can give you a star.
Just a word about the loss of their beloved four-legged friend. It is a sad moment, has no word that console, I know. Have been many of those friends that I created with love and gone. But while we were together we did well, that's what matters. Just as good for me to see the affection between you and them:)
kiss
Didi

Hi Christer,

I was sad to read of Erna's passing. It is hard to say goodbye to such friends when they have been with us for so long but the memories remain and help us to smile.

I voted for your photo today. There were some very good photographs in the mix. You had the highest average rating of them all at the time when I looked. Good luck.

Have a good day.

Hello Christer,
Good diaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Who good to see you!
I could vote in your picture, but also voted dumb in others, only discovered later that he was also voting in the other instead of changing photo! hehehehehehe, but this ... I am so anxious that I sometimes muddled, but the good news is that in your photo to 1O and deservedly got because I loved her even this picture because it has beauty and has soul! heheheheh
I loved watching the Teodor walking together, do not know why but especially like it!
I will not say more not to increase the pain, but a phrase that I loved and I will post here:
"Dogs are our link to paradise. They know no malice, envy or discontent. Sit with a dog at the foot of a hill on a beautiful afternoon, it's back to Eden, where doing nothing was not boring it was peace. " (Milan Kundera)
(In memory of our best friends!)

Christer.

Hi Z&M!
Yes Erna will stay in my head for many years to come. I still shout after my first dog Sickan sometimes and she died eight years ago :-) :-)

Have a great day now!

Hi Didi!
Yes today I was to the doctor and they think I have Bechterews disease, no cure I´m afraid. But living right and move a lot will help me fight it :-)

Above the photos there are numbers, from one to ten. Click on the points You think my picture is worth (ten ofcourse :-) :-) :-) ) and that´s all You have to do. But You have to do it on those photos that are before mine. Well not ten perhaps but some points anyway :-) :-) :-)

Yes You are so right about that! We had a good life my old Erna and I :-) and I have some fun memories of her :-)

Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Caryn!
Yes it was real tough to say good bye, but she didn´t want to live any more, she even refused to eat her favourite food, liver.

Yes there were some really great photos there today! I gave them high points too. I looked some minutes ago and it looks as if I have the second highest points, because there´s a photo from last week that has 0,01 points more than I have :-) I have to vote from work too :-) :-)

Have a great day now!
Christer.

The cottage by the Cranelake said...

Hi Andrea!

There were some great photos today so I can only hope that the comming photos isn´t that good :-) :-)

What a beautiful phrase :-)
Have a great day now!

Hi Christer,
Well .. I think so ... even though the drugs are ...
I know that in such cases physiotherapy helps a lot. I have a thing called Spondylolisthesis Espondilolítica, is a real ugly word which in practice means a lot to feel pain every time and has no cure. I took lots of drugs, treatment with lights and electric shocks (small bumps nothing terrible as it may seem) and I just got better doing physiotherapy. This physiotherapy here in Brazil is called Pilates, muscle strengthening.
Today I'm fine. Of course I can not stop doing physical therapy but I like to do physical exercises and now lift weights 4 kg on each arm with ease:)
Today I am a strong woman and independent and even my glasses olive alone! :):)
Well as the photo, I only understood later (I'm kind a goofy sometimes ... something like half the day) and then I could vote for you! It was a 10, no have a star to give you but I believe it serves:)
kisses
Didi

The cottage by the Cranelake said...

Hi Didi!
You just gave me ten stars :-) Thanks!

It sounds as if we both have to do physioterapi then. But I think pilates is a bit to early for me :-) I also have to learn how to get a better posture in my back before it is to late. I´m leaning forward when I walk, like a monkey :-) :-)

Thanks for the points once again :-)
Take care!
Christer.

ana_didi said...

Yes my friend ... we are condemned to a life of athlete hahaha
Pilates is also in Sweden?
At first I was ridiculously tired but soon got used, now I love doing the exercises.
I am improving my posture but still walk like a duck :)
There is a plethora of physiotherapeutic techniques ... some of them will serve for you. The important thing is to do.
kisses
Didi

Christer! I went and voted immediately...and totally forgot to come back and comment!! Age is beating the heck out of my memory!
I loved your photograph. The only one I thought even compared was the one of the lake...but forest has always been my choice of beautiful places.
I hope you are doing alright. Like Joyce..I hug Mele a lot!!
Mona

The cottage by the Cranelake said...

We live a tough life Didi :-) :-) So You walk like a duck and I like a monkey :-) :-) :-)

Yes, pilates is very popular over here too.

I´ll continue to use my rowing machine and take more walks, but later on I must do something more I´m afraid :-)

Take care now!
Christer.

The cottage by the Cranelake said...

Hi Mona!
I´m just the samne, so I don´t think it has to do with age :-) :-)

I wouldn´t be dissapointed if I came second to that beautiful photo of the lake! But I´d rather win :-) :-)

Have a great day now and thank You!
Christer.

Christer.

Christer, I am so sorry about Erna's passing... yes, life goes on but we still hurt... I was very glad to hear that her sons will still be taking morning walks with you... it was my birthday, yesterday, and unfortunately,by the time I went to the site to vote for your picture, it was closed out... I would have given you a ten, though... I feel bad that I couldn't vote because your work is absolutely fabulous...

The cottage by the Cranelake said...

Hi Sharlene!

Congratulations on Your Birthday a bit late then :-) :-)

You can still vote for it if You want to, but You must vote through all other photos before that to be able to vote on mine :-)

Yes Orvar, Hector and I will continue to walk around in our forest :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.
