I´m prepared!

It still stands even after they collected most of the timber yesterday.

I drove to Falköping on my way home yesterday to order a pallet with fire-logs for the coming winter, wether it will be cold or not. For some reason it´s so much easier to pay a store lots of money so I can have my cottage warm during winter than it is to pay a lot of money to the electrical company I buy my electricity from :-) :-) :-)

I don´t know exactly when it will arrive but we hope they can deliver my pallet with fire-logs at the same time they will deliver wood pellets to my neighbor (I´m not sure that wood pellets is the right name for that, but it´s more or less the same thing I buy but in much smaller pieces for their stove). The pallet will weigh around 1,2 tons in kilo, that is around 2645,5 pound so I´ll have some work to do when I´ll move all that in to my wood shed :-) :-) :-)

We have had frost a couple of more days now, this time the temperature dropped to -3,4C (26,1F) and since I still have my car outside the garage I had to scrape ice that stuck so hard to the car windows that I barley got anything of the windows at all :-) :-) :-)  But since I have my electric engine heater on it takes only minutes until the ice melts anyway. But I really don´t like that we have so many nights with frost already.

So now there´s a fire in the stove and soon I´ll make a pot of tea and some sandwiches too. This is an evening  made for reading.
Have a great day now!

I'm having a terrible time posting my photos. I went back to Settings and clicked on the old format and am using that. Strangely, my other blog point of view, posts them immediately with no problems. But that blog is business and we usually run only one picture per article. I can't figure it out. Looks like your sad Sunflower. Maybe the two have something in common. Enjoy your Logs.

Love sunflowers and envy your crisp cool days & nights. I am still waiting for our temps of near 100 to go away. Looks like we may get to the 70's this weekend.
Yes it gets cold here but the sun shines most of the time so that helps. Once the cool weather stays I will be getting firewood also from the property. In 2008 there was a major forest fire that went thru here destroyed homes and trees. We are still cutting up those trees.
Have a warm evening eh?

Christer, I really enjoyed the last two photos showing the autumn colors in the trees and fields and the beautiful skies.

Today, I took photos of various mushrooms at Acadia State Park and will be doing a post soon. Not sure of their names, but was told that they were all poisinous.

Fall weather will be waiting for us at home, here the colors are not as widespread as we had hoped, but we will be on the road for the next couple of weeks so there's hope still. Enjoy your tea, warm fire and reading.

Christer.

Hi Z&M!
I can´t find any place where I can go back to the old format here in my blog! I´ve looked but can´t find it! I mean if You can change back then I must be able to do so too!

Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Joyce!
I´m thinking of making a blog on WordPress to have just in case. Blogspot has been so strange lately that I wonder if it will keep on for much longer.

A fire is always right :-) even if You aren´t even close to our temperatures :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Diane!
I like cool days, but not cold :-) But most of the last mosquitos and moose flies are gone now and I thank the frost for that :-) :-) In a way I´m happy that we don´t have Your temperatures :-) That is a bit to hot for me :-)

I remember that fire, they showed it on the news here every day! I really hope that You won´t get fires like that again!
Have a great day now!
Christer.

The fall colors in your neck of the woods are beautiful! I really like the pictures of those mushrooms as well!

I could do with some cooler weather here in the Texas south!

Keep those pictures coming, my friend!

Hi Beatrice!
Those two photos almost didn´t make it to my blog yesterday! Blogspot refused to let me put in more than a couple of photos, so I had a bright red text telling You all that I would put in more photos when and if Blogspot worked again. But those photos are my favorites too :-)

I´m looking forward to those mushroom photos! I think mushrooms are fascinating since they are neither animals nor plants.

I hope You´ll see lots of autumn colors on Your trip!
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Christer.

Hi Jim!
It´s a bit funny right now, some trees are full of autumn colors but some are still as green as they were during summer :-) I think mushrooms are fascinating! Neither animal, nor plant and most of it grows underground too. Fantastic creatures!

I´ll try to send some of our cooler weather down to You then :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.
