It was a bit cold outside this morning when we took our walk. But it didn´t snow at least :-) I couldn´t find Bertil as we were leaving the cottage so I wasn´t surprised when he came running (and shouting) over the fields to join us :-)

After our walk I drove to the hospital to see a physiotherapist. They wanted to do a follow up around six weeks after the surgery. I was a bit early so I went to the cafeteria to have a cup of coffee. Well that was what I payed for. What that brown fluid really were I´ll never know :-) :-) It might have been the last cups they had left from yesterday mixed with something unknown this morning. But at least it was warm.

It´s interesting to sit there and watch people comming and going. Everything seemes to go in slow motion as soon as they enter the hospital. This morning there were a group of visitors. I think they might have been politicians because the guide said that they should go the same way the patients had to. They looked to healthy to be patients and a bit too happy too to be honest. All those one could see were patients had this sort of gloomy look in their eyes. These visitors looked almost jolly in theirs :-)

An employee, a nurse I think, walked around outside the hospital store looking as if she couldn´t decide what to do with herself. Sometimes she almost went in there, but then she slowly cirkeled away again. She kept on doing this for a couple of minutes but then she decided to go there anyway. The next time I saw her she walked around with a big cupcake in her hand :-)

The physiotherapist tested my leg in different ways and came to her surprise to the conclusion that my recently operated left leg in most ways were much stronger than the right one. The reason for that is maybe because I´m ambidextrous, both left and right handed. I usually uses my right hand when doing things but I have always been much stronger in both my left arm and leg. This is very practical when working since I always can shift hands when painting :-) The only problem I have is when writing. When I write with my left hand it becomes backwards and reversed. The handwriting looks just the same otherwise :-)

I bought a new digital box to my tv on my way home. For once I read through the instructions how to do and then started the tv and digital box. On the screen it said: “Shall we start”! It didn´t say anything about that in the manuals :-) :-) So I pressed OK and now I can see my favourite programs again :-) There aren´t any really good programs at the moment, but I do like to watch comedies like “How I met Your Mother” and “Scrubs”.

Well now it´s time to take a walk with my dogs and then bring in some fire wood. Rain is just an hour away or so they say.

Have a great day now!

You posted some WOW photos today Christer. And as a cat lover it pleases me to see your Bertil on the fence and in the woods. His coat blends in so well, doesn't it? I think Spring has come to Sweden. Yay! Have a great day.

Hi Z&M!
I like these photo´s too :-) It´s so much easier for Bertil to blend in to the background now. Snow isn´t his friend :-) :-)
Yes, spring has finally arrived :-)
Have a great day now!

hi christer....glad to hear your leg is doing fine. i can't get over that the cats follow you on your walks. that seems so un-catlike. we are still baking here in this heat. at least today it is breezy. teddy is out getting groomed. i can't believe she lets someone else touch her but we got her used to it when she was young. i planted radishes today! soon i hope to have breakfast radishes on toast in the mornings. that's one of my favorite things. glad your tv is up and working! joyce

Hi, Christer!
It's great that your hip is coming along ahead of schedule.

Your first photo reminds me of a trail in the White Mountains of New Hampshire USA. I used to hike that trail all the time. In the summer it got very warm and the air under the pines got very still and heavy with the smell of the trees. It would almost put a person to sleep.

Hi Joyce!
I knew my leg was doing fine, but that it was that strong did surprise me :-)

Especially Bertil has trobles understanding that he isn´t a dag :-) Toedor gets that better I think :-)

It´ll take a long time until I can plant anything outside here I´m afraid. We can get a day or two with heat, but after that a week of cold and rainy weather comes instead :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Christer.

Hi Caryn!
It really made me happy to hear that my leg is so strong already! Got a bit surprised actully :-)

I´ve heard about White Mountines before, I wonder if I know anyone that been there? Or is it very famous for its beauty?

But hot summer days it´s the spruces smelling. Not as nice as pines but it´ll do :-)
Have a great day now!

The news about your leg is great, Christer!! I have heard from others that the leg that has the surgery is usually stronger. Good for you. I loved the scenario about the nurse and the cupcake! Sounds like something I would have done...and like her, lost the battle.
Scratches our cat used to go for walks with us and our dog. It's funny because even though we were in a neighborhood we never used a lease back then. Wouldn't think of doing such a thing now. It is so wonderful to see your animals out enjoying nature without a leash on them! It always makes me smile!
Your photo's are fantastic as usual! You have a wonderful life, Christer AND you have RAIN! :)
Thank you for your comment on the "quake."
We are on edge!
Take care and enjoy!

Caryn is right. I was raised in the White Mountains of New Hampshire USA and your pix seemed so familiar. It was spooky. But...to the hospital...a really clever (ambidextrous, yet. Me, too. I knew we would get along!) fellow would have made himself look like a doctor and gotten a cupcake for himself, if you get my drift. Regardless, I'm delighted things are going so well with your hip. And, your cold must be finally leaving the scene. Excellent. Well done, you.

Hi Christer,
I can see your world is waking up to spring and it makes me glad for you.

How wonderful that you are so well on the mend!

Enjoy that digital box!

Have a great evening.

Love your pictures. Funny though - It's not how I pictured Sweden at all. You make me want to have a little cabin in the woods. But then again - your pictures look a lot like the country side around where I live. thanks for sharing them.

Hi Mona!
That nurse did have a lot of extra pounds on her waist too, but I did so understand what she was going through befor buing that cupcake :-)

Some cats just doesn´t understand that they are cats and not dogs :-) :-) I think it´s much the dog that decides weather one should use a leash or not. I would never let these three walk around in a town without it :-) :-) But my first two dogs I could just leave at one place and they would stay. These would go nuts I think :-) :-) :-)

Yes, we have rain and that is something I´m happy about. At least as long it doesn´t come to much of it :-) :-)
Have a great day now and take care!
Christer.

Christer.

Hi Sharlene!
Funny that two places so far between can remind so much of each other! I must go out on the net too see how White Mountines looks :-)

We are very few that are ambidextrous and we have to stand together :-) :-) But it is very practical to be honest. Sometimes when I have to paint the same things for several hours at work I just change hands when I get to tired in the one I´m using. Less pain afterwards than for those only able to use one hand/arm.

Yes my cold is slowly leaving me. This night I could sleep all night witout any problems at all :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi LJ!
Sweden is mostly countryside to be honest :-) We have three bigger cities and a bunch of smaller and most people live in there. The rest of the country is mostly forest and along the coast and southern Sweden, fields. I actully think it looks much like Canada to be honest :-)

Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Kat!
Yes it does, but oh so slowly. I wouldn´t mind if it went ahead a bit faster :-)

It´s funny really. Now when I can see tv again, there isn´t much I like to see to be honest :-) Some daily comedies and Sci-Fi night on friday :-)

Have a great day now!
Christer.

Christer.
