I´m a bit tired and a bit confused to be honest. I and my dogs got up real early today and when we came back home I started to bake a bread. I got several different american bread mixes from my friend Joyce that writes “Octoberfarm”. I did do the Cherry Almond Scone mix the other week and got a bit surprised. It was much sweeter than I thought it should be. Normally my scones are neutral, perhaps a bit salty. So for me this kind of scones worked great without anything on it, like cheese or jam. It would have been perfect with some icecream I think.

Today I started to bake the Limpa Sweet Rye bread. I went upstairs during the first fermentattion and fell asleep. When I woke up again I was totally convinsed that I already had written todays blog and got very confused when I realised I hadn´t :-) :-) I must have dreamed writing it and it´s a shame You can´t read it because I remember that I thought it was really interesting :-) :-) :-)

Well, the bread won´t be ready for yet a couple of hours so I´ll show You the result tomorrow. Even if I feel like going back to sleep again I think it´s probably better if I stay awake until the bread is ready. So I´ll make a poy of tea and then put a lot of more firelogs in ths tove. It´s not especially warm outside today and the cold sort of works its way through the walls and closed windows.

Have a great day now!

Monica

Oh, there's no question it's your boyish charm with those lovely pictures as a backdrop! It's so restful to have my morning cuppa and slowly go through the pictures imagining the scents and sounds! Thank you, so much, for sharing.

Hate that I missed the 'dream sequence.' Let's try to be a little more alert from now on, eh?

Hi Joyce!
I got very surprised at first since I never have eaten sweet scones before. It didn´t really work with the cheese I had by the time :-) :-) But then I used it as, what we call a coffee bread. Someting sweet to the coffee and for that it was perfect!

I can tell You that the Limpa (we call loafs of bread for limpa here too) is soo tasty! I bread totally in my taste :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.
