I looked out the windows this morning to see if it rained. The forcast had said it would rain most of the night and some now in the morning. But the gravel road looked rather light in its color, when it rains it gets real dark. So it seemes the rain had missed us.

It was strangly quiet and calm outside when we took our morning walk. Not a crane could be heard and almost no other birds either. But even if it was a bit cold I enjoyed the walk very much. When walking out on the fields I decided to drive to Skara and buy a new didgital box for my tv. Perhaps also drive in to town and take some photo´s of the old town too.

So i “jumped” in to my car (well, there´s not much jumping after a hip surgery though :-) :-) ) and drove away. Easter Monday is a national holiday here so I new that most likly only the big supermarket would be open today. For some reason they had stopped selling digital boxes. They sell all other kinds of technology crap, but not digital boxes! So I got a bit annoyed.

I went out to my car to drive in to town when the snow started to fall. That made me even more annoyed because it got cold too. So I drove home instead. So here I am sitting and staring out my window looking at the snow falling down outside and listening to the ticking and tocking from my America clock. But there´s a fire in the stove and a pot of tea soon ready to help me with my sour throat. Hector sleeps in my bed, Orvar down in the kitchen and Erna with the cats in the livingroom. Life could be worse :-)

Have a great Easter Monday now!

And the snow just keeps on falling and falling and ........

The weatherman says rain, you get snow. Isn't that always the way it is? Well, the winter bad weather is almost over. The Cranes know that or they wouldn't be on the Crane Lake. And these beautiful photos this morning show a warm Sweden. It's the best part of your day while you recover from surgery. Have a great week!

Christer.

Hi Z&M!
That´s just the way it is I´m afraid :-) :-) But this is April so snow is to be expected all month. But thankfully it´s usually as warm or warmer than today so the snow melts fast :-)

Yes I do love my mornings :-)
Have a great continuing of easter now!
Christer.

Hm... Fick höra samma bakslags-meddelande av dottern idag (Stockholm). Isch! Vi har i vart fall sluppit det. Men kallare är det. Isch igen!

Beautiful pix, as always, and LOVE the way the cat is coming down the ladder. Too cool. Thanks for sharing. I'm off to set up another lasagna garden...

The cottage by the Cranelake said...

Hi Sharlene!
Teodor, as the cat is called, had been sitting there shouting for me to open the door for him :-) :-) His brother Bertil uses the ladder to try to catch birds on the roof instead :-)

It´s to early to do anything in my garden here I´m afraid. But it´ll turn soon than God!
Have a great day now!

Hi Joyce!
First the snow and after that the cold I have started to mess with me. This has not been a good day at all!

Great for all baseball fans that the weather is warm over at Yours! here it would have been empty with this bad weather we have :-) :-) But it will turn to the better soon they say :-)
Have a great day now!

Hi, Christer!
Just came back from my morning walk with the dog and the camera. Two days in a row. I'm doing okay.

Snow after lovely weather is somehow more annoying than snow after the usual winter weather. It's like you let your guard down and Mother Nature smacked you. When it happens around here I say as long as the snow isn't sticking to the pavement it's fine. And it'll be gone tomorrow.

Hope your cold is gone tomorrow or as soon as possible.

Hi Caryn!
The good thing with these digital cameras is that we can take as many photo´s as we wish on the same object, just to see what comes out best :-) You should onlu know how many I delete every day :-) :-)

It snowed for quite some time, but thankfully it was to warm for it to stay on the ground. But it is rather boring to see how it just continues to fall all the time :-)

I think this is the last battle for my cold now. At the moment I would say it´s even between us :-) If I only can sleep all night I will surly feel much better tomorrow.
Have a great day now!

Hejsan Anja!

Christer.

LOVE the cats. Your darker, striped one almost looks like my Babu :)

The cottage by the Cranelake said...

Hi Mona!
Well I did smile some too when the snow started to fall, but only because it was so warm it melted really fast :-) :-) I have to expect this all through April I´m afraid.

Yes I do have a great life living like I do! I have absolutly fantastic neighbours too and that is something to thank Gopd for :-) I have had the most strange people as neighbours, You should only know :-) :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

The cottage by the Cranelake said...

Hi Perovskia!
I do love them too :-) Each cat has its personality and sometimes it´s surprising that they are brothers, they can behave so different from each other :-)

Babu must be a beautiful cat then. That is how I like cats to look.
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Perovskia said...

They're brothers?! Heh.. they look so different. The orange one is beautiful. :) He seems to have a nice bright, striking orange to him.

The cottage by the Cranelake said...

Hi Perovskia!
Yes they are brothers. Born at the same day in the same barn a couple of miles from my home :-) Teodor (the orange) is much bigger than his brother Bertil but they have the same temperament and I´ve never seen them being angry at each other.
Have a great day now!
Christer.
