We don´t have any hot springs in this country, so I can´t understand why the water in this little creek isn´t frozen.

I was working with cleaning the paint box after lunch and turned around to go out of the box. It´s amazing how the back can give pain :-) I thought I wasn´t going to be able to get out of the paint box at all. The only thing I was thinking was that I have a gift of timing wrong :-) It´s only days away to my surgery and here I go and gets lumbago. But the pais is slowly loosing its grip and the only thing I´ll do this evening is to sit and watch the Olympics and have a heating pad towards my back.

Today it´s ski biathlon again. It didn´t go that good the last time. Since the shooting part were exellent and our women are amongst the best in the world everyone asked why these bad results??! It was then I realised that we have Holy Men in our country, men that one shouldn´t contest, especially not the skiers. It´s the men that prepares the skis. They seemes to be without fault You see. When the press asked them why the skis were so bad the chief Holy man answered that the sweeds always have good skis, never bad. But sometimes some countries have even better skis :-) :-) :-) Why not just say that today we really messed up, but next time the skis will be much better :-)

Its´the start of the Curling today too. Even if Curling is a very, very small, almost tiny sport over here our Ladies are amongst the best in the world. They won the last Olympics for instance. Unfortunally our Ladies starts to late for me, but I think I might have a chance to see something from the mens competition instead.

Now it´s time for some Småländsk ostkaka (Småland is a big county over here and Ostkaka is the same thing as cheese cake).

Have a great day now!

Somethings wrong this year. I cannot seem to get into the winter games and I love the Olympics! What my problem is, I have NO idea.

I wish all your people good luck in the competitions. I guess it didn't help when the young man was killed. Or...maybe I'm just getting old. Whatever the case, I think I would rather look at all the photo's of snow that you and everyone is posting! :) Why the stream isn't frozen is because it isn't cold enough? :) Good answer?
Enjoy your tea and the games, Christer!

Hi Mona!
Well that death did stop some of the feeling for the games.

I have to agree with You that the creek isn´t cold enough :-) ;-) But I don´t understand why. There´s no stream in it to talk about. Perhaps we´re grtting the first hot water spring? :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Ahh, now that is an even better answer, Christer! Spring is on it's way. It was 81 degree's yesterday, and has been as high as 87 on Sunday. Very warm. California is tricky. It warms up like this and then suddenly we get the freeze of our lives and all those lovely plants we put out are blackened over night. I do NOT trust this warm balmy lovely day that brings people from everywhere to California. She is not to be trusted, this California! :)
Yep..I think Spring is on it's way.

You are right. I think the young mans death took a bit of spirit out of the games.

I love cheesecake. When I had my surgery and lost 16 pounds, the doctor said I could eat whatever I wanted. I ate cheesecake. Now, of course, I have the weight gained back and no cheesecake in my future. I have managed a few bites at restaurants when we all share one slice. Photos are gorgeous, send chills up my spine. I can handle it. I'm not going in for surgery like you. I even think if I had to go again I would just tell them forget it. One heart surgery is enough. I think maybe, Bill Clinton told them that too and they put in stints to help him rather than bypass another set of arteries. Well Christer, you are getting close. Counting down the days. I wish you luck. I really wish you were having it done in the Spring so you could enjoy the Summer off.

Hi Christer,
Well I hope your team did well today in the curling. I dont mind watching that. Mind you I usually love watching most of the events from the winter olympics. I have ridden a bob sled at Lillehammer..as a tourist..lol it was a lot of fun and not on ice off course.
I hope the heat pack has eased your pain.
Over here when we buy bed sets, we have to buy a set of sheets which usually include top and bottom sheet, pillow case/s. If we want a doona cover that is separate. I am sure your mother will be snug and warm. Especially if the dogs join her.

Hi Mona!
The temperature has risen over freezing point for two days now :-) I wish it could continue so. But it will be a snowstorm tomorrow they say :-)

Even if California is a not so trustworthy lady when it comes to temperatures I wish we had it like that here :-) :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Z&M!
I lost twenty ponds after my last surgery and is kind of hoping for the same this time :-) :-)

I do hope I don´t have to go to heart surgery! Thankfully I seeme to have a naturally low colesterol level in my blood. But that can change and fast too I´m afraid.

But now I´ll have the chance to meet spring instead :-)
Have a great day now!

Hi Aussimade!
Both our teams did very well in curling yesterday :-) Our men won a match over the world champiopns :-) and our ladies won over Denmark and that was a tough match. I just hope it will continue like that :-)

I wish I had tried bob sled some time. It looks so fun!

The heat pack helped a lot :-) Almost no pain at all today!
Have a great day now!
Christer.

hi christer...i hope your back is feeling better. our snow is melting a bit but we have a long way to go. lots of places are having roof collapses because of the weight of the snow. when i lived in canada, a lot of the people i knew were curlers. we would be on business trips in hawaii and they would leave to go back to canada to curl in tournaments. crazy! so you are eating your version of new york cheesecake! joyce

Hi Joyce!
Same here with roofs, they are collapsing in many places now.

Curlers are very special persons :-) :-)

Or is it You eating a version of our cheese cake :-)
Have a great day now!
