If You click on the photo You´ll be able to see three deers. My neighbour feeds them every winter.

Guess what! It has come more snow and more will come tonight. Can things get any better :-) :-) Well my dogs loves it anyway and that´s enough for me.

I put my car outside my garage from now. Then at least I don´t have to shovel all that snow just to be able to open the doors :-) :-)

My dogs loves when I throw snowballs out on the fields :-)

Since it was rather cold outside today I let my dogs stay inside the cottage instead of staying in the dog yard. I know that they will have done something so I have to clean up before going on the walk.

Can´t find it!

At first I didn´t notice anything, not until I slipped on the floor and almost fell. It looked like it was million corns spread over the floor. They had found the bag with corn for making popcorn :-) :-) I swept them up of the floor and threw them to the birds. But all evening I have walked on stray corns and I can tell You that it does hurt a lot :-) :-) But it´s a lot better than glass like it was the last time :-) :-)

I think it is Hector that actully found one of the snowballs :-)

It´s time for tea and reading Your blogs. The fire in the stove heats up my small home and my dogs are sleeping in my bed. Life is good!

Have a great day now!

Life is good :-)

Christer.

Hi Joyce!
Yes all that snow took a lot of energy from them :-)

My dogs loves popcorn. But I´ve never tried it with bacon grease. I do fry a lot of bacon, so I must try that! Thanks for the tip!

My mother will come up here during my week at hospital. I will go to the hospital on sunday and go home on friday, so it´ll be five days that I´m away.

Have a great day now!
Christer.

Well at least we found the dogs love the snow even if you don't. They are having the time of their lives out there. Wonderful pictures, nice to see them play. I like the deer photo too. So we're getting close to the hip op day are we? Good that your Mother can help out. That will be really nice.

Hello sweet friend!

Enjoyed your post...the snow and cedars look lovely! We are in for more snow as well, and according to Punxsutawney Phil and American tradition involving a groundhog, we are in for 6 more weeks of winter as that ole feller saw his shadow. Do you have any similar traditions in Sweden predicting the ending of winter or coming of spring?

Hope that you soaked your tootsies (toes) tonight after stepping on all that corn!

Looks like lots of snow in the forecast for Kansas City as well, so we are planning on stocking up on sweet treats and firewood.

Also, a huge thank you for your visit last week and kind words and sentiments. We are very excited to be expecting baby #3, even if it makes us the world's oldest parents at high school graduation! HA!!!

Blessings,
Val

Det tog mig bara 25 minuter att skotta fram bilen idag. Nu är jag så trött att jag mår illa. Skall snöa här hela dagen fram till ikväll säger de. Men hundarna är ju lyckliga :-)
Ha det gott!

Hi Valerie!
I think we´ve gotten 8 inches of snow this night and it´ll snow until this evening. I´m a bit tired of it now :-) But it is very beautiful! Not even I can say something else :-)

I think it´s great that You´re going to have a new familymember :-) But I think that You´re not even close to be the worlds oldest parents at Highschool graduation. There is a brittish woman that got her child at the age of 59 :-) :-) :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

hi christer...i didn't know your mother lived by you. that's nice that she can help out! wild rice is not actually rice but a grain. it has a texture like barley but a bit chewier. it is really good. it takes longer to cook then regular rice. i bet you animals will really miss you when you are in hospital.

jaz@octoberfarm said...

btw christer....you have to try popping corn in bacon grease. it is SO good!!!

Hi Joyce!
No she doesn´t live close at all, It´s about 168 miles between our homes. But she will catch a train some days before my surgery. So it´s really nice of her to come up to help me!

I think they´ll miss me, so it´s good that they can stay here during my absence.

I´ll save some bacon grease next time then :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

I LOVE those dogs. I wish it had been a video of them playing in the snow. If you remember..do make one before the snow is gone. They are the happiest dogs and are such a joy to watch. The snowy face is so cute.
Joyce has the best darned idea's. Popcorn in bacon grease! Love it!

Us Mom's do come in handy at times, don't we. I flew to Atlanta and stayed with my daughter, Sandy, for 9 days when she had her surgery.
Enjoy the snow..hot tea and popcorn and your beautiful dogs...um..where are the cats?

The cottage by the Cranelake said...

Hi Mona!
It´s hard to film at the same time as I´m thowing a snowball :-) :-) Then there´s the problem of finding them and getting some focus on them too :-) :-) But I´ll try.

Yes, You mom´s are good to have near to be helped by sometimes :-)
The cats are indoors most of the time now. The snow is too deep for them now :-) :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.
