And there he sat again this morning :-)

A couple of men were going to take down big icicles from a roof in the big city Norrköping, but had problems reaching it, so they came up with a great idea. Why not shoot them down with a rifle? Since one of them were a hunter hitting them would be no trubles. The Police however has very differents thoughts about this and now the men are in troubles :-) :-) How could they not undesrtand that shooting with a rifle in a big city with lots of people living there could be a problem? I never cease to be amazed over how people thinks :-) :-)

The Olympics is now going on and it started out quite good when our hockey ladies won their first game over Switzerland. But our Ski Biathlon women really failed instead. They are the ones we really counts on taking medals and hopefully gold medals. Tonight it´s our biathlon men trying their best. With a lot of luck they might get a medal or at least a place amongst the ten best.

I should really start cleaning my home now, but I sort of can´t find the energy today. I do have a lot to do before my surgery and it should have been nice to be able to take the week of from work. But I have no vacation days left and absolutly now compensation hours to use either, on the contrary. I have used more hours than I have :-) :-)

But there´s still a whole week before leaving for hostpital so I´ll just have to do more the rest of the week. Now I think I´ll take a nap beside my dogs on my bed. I think my last blog before surgery is on Thursday. After that You´ll have to wait until I´m back home again.

Have a great day now!

Love the cat photos. Christer, those men shooting at the icicles. My,my, I thought we had all the crazies over here. Now you write about them over there. I guess we can't plan to go anywhere in the world without having to watch out for the nutters. So what do you do in Sweden when you have to have surgery? Do you work to make up that time off? I would think it was outside a sick leave compensation. Surgery is quite serious. I know when I had my bypass it was estimated my recovery would be six weeks and it took all of 90 days. But I was 57 when I had that done, no spring chicken, as they say. Well good luck cleaning up the place. And I am watching the Olympics here too. I thought Apollo Ohno was literally fantastic! Go USA!

Christer.

Hi Z&M!
It seemes those nut heads are all over the world :-) :-)

Well during and after the surgery we do have our insurance to have us financially floating. I will be gone from work for about three months. But the week before a surgery is a normal week so to speak.

If I want to stay home from work the week before I have to pay for it myself it´s up to me if I want a week without pay or if I have vacation or compensation time to use.

I´m just looking at Apollo Ohno right now :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

oh Your kitty pics are so sweet .
lol I bet those men with guns were from the country originally ? no ?
I know here it takes older generation time to relearn etc. my friends mother used to have the fire dept. visit her yard each autumn because she just could not understand why she could not burn her leaves in the ditch how they used to yrs before lol plus she was from a farm she just didn't get that no matter if your yard is big or not you cannot burn leaves in the city .
we are looking at a piece of land today , however it is very swampy so we are not sure on it yet . fun just getting out and looking .
thanks once again for sharing

Kokosnötter! Så Teodor har lärt sig var du finns i huset.... eller klättrar han omkring tills han hittar dig ;-)
Skönt med mammor som ställer upp! Saknar min.

Hi Rox!
I´m not sure to be honest. This sounds like a city folk idea :-) Those living on the country side are more careful and do wish to keep their license :-) :-) But I do understand what You mean. Burning leafs in the city is anything but popular :-) :-)

How exiting! Well it all depends on what one wants to do with that peace of land. Prices must be quite low now too. I hope You can get it if You want to!
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Christer,
We all have to suffer fools though the ones with guns scare the heck out of me.

Sorry you didn't have the days to take, but I suspect the amount of time you'll be home and out of work might drive you crazy after a while.

I've been watching the Olympics every day too.

The Chines porn comment showed up yesterday but there was only one, easily removed.

Hi Kat!
So true, but it´s so easy to loose the license and so very hard to get it back, so usually we don´t have these things happeninge here.

I can honestly say that enjoyed every minute the last tie I did this :-) :-) But I going to like to get a real pay check when starting work again :-) I´m just about to see the mens Ski Biathlon right now. I don´t have high hopes though :-) :-)

It seemes they start out with one rather innocent comment. If one doesn´t delete it they go into big offencives. So tiering!
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Love the cat photos! I'm watching the Olympics here too. Makes you feel a little more hopeful about the world to watch these athletes from all different countries competing. It balances out the crazies a little.

Hope you have some good books to read during your recovery. Will your Mom stay with you the entire time?

Regards - Linda in Chapel Hill

Hi Christer, poor puss so so cold over there. How will you fit all those wood rolls in your small home? Shame you cant take the time but as was said you may go cabin crazy whilst recovering. Have I missed what is happening with the animals whilst you are in hospital.. they will miss you so much.
I too am watching the winter olympics Weirdly Australia has a team and we are doing okay for a country with very little snow.

Hi Linda!
Yes, the Olympics does that, until they find out that some takes illegal drugs. I do hope they doesn´t use that this time.

I have plenty of books :-) They´ll last much longer than my recovery. My friends are collecting plenty of DVD:s too :-)

I get crazy if I have people around me for to long, I´m not used to it any more :-9 So I hope she stays a week or so after I have come back, but not longer :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Joyce!
I hope You´ll get plenty of snow. I cab send over the snow we expect too :-) :-)

Yes, my mother will most probably clean all the time, even if there would be nothing to clean :-) :-)

Last time she did a lot of food, so it´ll probably be the same this time too :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Aussimade!
Yes, my cats aren´t especially happy about this weather. They´ll stay indoors as much as possible now.

The fire logs are really practical. It´s compressed saw dust and are made in the shape of squares. So it´s really easy to just place them in a pile in a corner.

Since spring will come during my recovery I think I´ll enjoy every minute :-) even if the leg will be very weak.

My mother will come and take care of my animals. It´s nice to know that they can stay here at home when I´m away.

I think we all will remember the Australian that won the gold medal in Short track :-) :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Teodor is a smart cat. Cat's are not fond of water and snow is but frozen water..so he climbs up and sits out of the cold and wet snow.

Guns? LOL Men! Well, ok, SOME men! Over here in California it's "use a gun, go to jail!"

Just laughing at the memory of the final of the short track...surely you have to be good to stay on your feet...lol

Hi Mona!
You should see him climb up the wall if he thinks I´m at another window :-)

I think this man will do much the same over here :-) I wondet what he was thinking. It´s difficult to get a license over here and if one looses it, it´s tough to get it back.
Have a great day!
Christer.

Hi Aussimade!
Normally I never look at short track, but had the luck of watching the heats he was in. I laughed so I had tears in my eyes and I think if any one is worth a gold medal he is! The best final ever :-)
Take care!
Christer.
