I´m at home today. My stomac seemes to given up sometime last night and I still haven´t been able to make it work as it should :-) I was a bit tired yesterday morning but thought no more of it. Not until I already had been to work for fifteen minutes. After that I wasn´t especially welcome there any more :-) :-) But I think half of us working there has gotten something these last weeks. It has been very quiet since so many have been home with something. It must have something to do with our climate and light conditions. Cold and rainy half the year and now it´s dark when going to work and soon it´ll be dark when going home too. We never see any daylight during half the year so it´s not strange that we get sick rather often during this time of year.

But it is a waonderful morning here. The sun is shining and some birds are singing. The strong winds we have had are gone too. I found some bird food in my pantry so I think I´ll give that to the birds today. I´m planning of making a feeding station outside so I can have all the feeders at one place (I´m very inspired of "Good old beans" feeding station). As it is right now the feeders are scattered all over my garden and no place is placed so I can see it from indoors without problems.

I want the place close to bushes so that the birds quick can find a place to hide if a predator comes close. I also want to have it where the wind doesn´t blow to hard. It seemes to be a hard combination here if I also want it to be easy to see from my home. Well I´ll figure it out sooner or later. So for now I will fill the closest feeder to see if the birds are ready to be fead yet.

But now there´s a pot of tea waiting.

The frost has just started to melt on this Aster.

Despite the hard frost we´ve had, there are still some flowers in bloom. Here however a flower from anothet plant has fallen down and placed itself on a dead Nepeta.

There´s no turning back now, autumn is here to stay. The wind is blowing hard and soon rain will start pouring down. That, at least, makes sure there´ll be no frost tomorrow morning.

When I and my dogs passed our neigbours house on our way out to the forest for our walk, the wife og the house got out and gave me a chokolat spunge cake :-) They will have guests tomorrow and so she thought a spunge cake would be nice to offer to the guests. For some reason she failed utterly with it, so she decided to make a new one and give the other to me :-) I can tell You that it tastes delicious :-) :-)

Four pouds of sliced pork is rather much when it comes to frying it :-) Since I alos decided to fry it on my fire stove I couldn´t use the kitchen fan. So now my little cottage smells like fries pork :-) :-) It´ll take some time to get that smell out of here, but on the other hand it smells rather nice. The only problem is that I get hungry all the time :-) :-)

Now there´s a fire in the stove and I´m indoors enjoying it :-)

I´ve noticed a big difference in the quality of different firelogs I´ve bought. Some burn so slow that they sort of just glows, crap to be honest. Others burn like they were made of petrol and burn quickly. So quick actully that the stove doesn´t get especially warm at all :-) Next time I´ll try those that can be bought by the local chimney sweeper. They are a bit expensive to be honest, but people say that they are the best. At the moment I have those fast burning ones, so I´ll have to use rather a lot to get it warm toninght. Well I can always strat the radiators if I feel the need.

My camera isn´t made for taking pictures at night, but the moon shine was so strong last night that I could take this picture :-)

Even though the morning sky was red yesterday we never got a real storm. There were wind and rain but not worse than usual. My neighbours house took most of the wind that were here, so it was real calm in my garden.

The frost has beaten the sunflower by the ruin. But it is still so beautiful.

This and the rest of the pictures is taken on my morning walk with my dogs.

This morning started out much the same as the day ended yesterday, cloudy windy and rainy. But the sun does a good job breaking through the clouds. It will be a nice day.

My neighbour told me that he had sold his horses this week. I knew that he was about to do it, but it feels kind of sad anyway. I´ve been talking to those horses every day since I moved here and I will miss it. I can understand him though, he has more spare parts in his body than any one else I know :-) It takes a lot of work to have horses and his body wount make it much longer. So I understand, but I will miss them.

Even if the sun will heat up my little cottage I´ve already started a fire in the stove. The wind now comes from another direction so I have no protection from my neighbours house any longer :-) Breakfast is done and my dogs are sleeping in my bed. Toedor and his brother is outside, but at the moment Teodor stays in the garden. Yesterdays drama seemes to have made him a bit more home sick :-)

The morning sky was absolutly fantastic this morning. They say that if the morning sky id red, there´s going to be a storm during the day.

I woke up early today, just before six am. Outside the wind was howling and it was a bit chilly inside my cottage. As soon as I came down in to the kitchen I started a fire in the stove. I looked out of the window after a while and saw that the morning sky would be fantastic. I fetched my camera and went outside.

If that´s true we are going to have real bad weather today :-)

I have one even more fantastic picture of the sunrise, but I´ll save thet to later. Soon there will be no daylight during the week days to take any pictures on for me. I promise, it´s worth waiting for.

It was only four degrees centigrade ( 39F) and the wind was quite strong and cold, so it was a bit to chilly to stand there wearing only my underware :-) But it was worth it! The most spectacular red sky picture will be saved to another day when I don´t have many pictures to show. Soon there will be darkness all workdays when I get home from work (and before getting to work) and then I woun´t have that many pictures to show. But it´s worth waiting for :-)

Some people just let old buildings they don´t use any more fall appart. My village is no different.

The "Portal" is getting autumn colors now.

I decided not to walk in the forest this morning. It would be to dark to take any pictures then, so we walked by the open fields instead. When we had come half the way my dogs started to behave strangly. They cirkled around a birch smelling on the ground like crazy. When I called them to come to me I heard the most sad cat miauw I´ve ever heard. At first I couldn´t lokate it, but then I found him high up in the birch. Teodor had climbed almost to the top and now was to frightened to climb down.

I could hear him, but not see him in the beginning. A ginger cat is perfectly disguised in autumn colors :-)

He refused to climb down in the beginning, so I had to stand there talking to him for over ten minutes before he started to climb down.

He complained loudly all the way down and all the way home :-)

He couldn´t have been there for more than an hour or so, because I did let him out as soon as I woke up. He do like to climb, it´s not un normal to see him climb up my cottage wall, tying to get some attention when he wants to get in :-) :-) Usually he climbes upp the wall beside my kitchen door and then taps on my door window with his claws :-) so I can let him in. But I´ve never seen him climb up any other trees than my own apple trees and never higher than he can climb down again.

Finally he´s down on the ground. I then had to carry him almost all the way home :-)

So I think it must have been the big fox living here that scared him up the tree. I haven´t seen a fox in weeks now, but my neighbour saw one very big last week almost where Teodor climbed the tree. When he finally came down, after very long dicussions with me wether it was safe ore not, he then insisted that I should carry him all the way home :-) Well I did carry him half the way, after that he felt safe enough to walk close to my dogs the rest :-) I think he was screaming something like that the next time he would meet that fox he would kick his as :-)

Well it´s time for breakfast. I think it´ll be cheese sandwiches with some meat balls and perhaps some sausages on :-)

Wonderful weather today! Sunny and awfully cold :-)

I went away to Lidköping today after work. My plan was to take some pictures on my way there and some in the town. Unfortunally I forgot my brain at work so no pictures from that trip I´m afraid :-) I was going to check out the two Tattoo parlors they have there and to find out their prices.

The first place was easy to find, big signs and close to the street. The first thing that met me was the stinch from cigarette smoke. The place was empty at the moment and it took some minutes before anyone came to help me. So I went to the desk and the first thing I saw was a gigant, well dildo is probably the best name for it :-) :-) Perhaps they have it to show where they pierce people that like to get pierced there, but couldn´t they put it away between customers? :-) While waiting I turned around and looked straight at a nude picture, some kind of poster I think it was. Well the tattoos were great but I was thinking of sitting there for hours! I would start smell like the parlor and what would I look at during the procedure :-) :-)

The second place were a bit more difficult to find, even if it was placed close to other shops. I opened the door and met a fresh smell, much like the one You can meet at a hair dresser. The parlor were clean and the tattoo artist sat behind a semi high wall, so people that came in new that he was there but couldn´t see what he was doing. I went to the desk and a young woman came directly to ask if she could help me with anything. What a difference! Guess wich place I´ll choose :-) I´ve been thinking of having a dragon on my right upper arm, a western dragon. I looked at pictures of tattoos they had done, but they only had eastern dragons and the woman that does them was away and wouldn´t come back until december. I could of course try to find one myself, but then I wouldn´t know if it would look good as a tattoo.

But I found a chinese dragon that the other tattoo artist might do on me, he worked at the moment so I´m going to call them on tuesday to see if he agrees to do it. If not I did find two great roosters that I could have one of instead. I wouldn´t be dissapointed if that´s what I get. The price? Well I haven´t given myself a treat since I almost got bankrupt three years ago, so this time I will. But after that I´ll have to wait for a couple of years until I treat myself again :-) :-)

It´s cold outside and now there´s a fire in the stove. It´ll be frost tonight again, but this time it doesn´t matter. Weekend has started so I don´t have to scrape the windows on my car tomorrow :-)

The first snow!

We sat and ate breakfast when we got the news that the first snow had fallen just a couple of kilometers away (just a couple of miles away)! I have to say that this was news I really didn´t want to hear, not yet anyway :-) :-) But the snow melted as fast as it hit the ground, so that´s good news anyway. I don´t want to hear about more snowfall until at least November again.

The trees has fiery colors, the sky is dark blue grey and the rainbow shines. Can it be better than that?

It rained all the way home, but when i reached my cottage the sun started to break through the clouds. I can feel that frost is in the air and I should really place my car in the garage. But every time I do that mice seemes to think it´s their second home :-) I put traps in the car but they just don´t care about those. I wonder what food is best to bate the trap with, nuts?

After the snowfall the rain came. There had come a lot of new mushrooms during the day just because the long needed rain.

My little cottage is a bit chilly right now.There´s a fire in the stove but the heat seemes to want to stay down stairs. I know that when it starts to rise all the warm air will fill my bedroom and make it unbarebly warm :-) :-)

From October first we are allowed to put studded tires on our cars, from November first we must have some kind of winter tire by law. Hearing about the first snow today made me start to think about changing to my studded tires. I don´t like to change tires, it´s heavy dirty and I always feel beaten afterwards. So this year I think I´ll go to a garage so they can change them for me :-) It doesn´t cost a lot so I better call to hear when they can do it. Well it´s time for a cup of tea or perhaps cocoa if I have any. As long as it´s warm it´s perfect :-)
