You can make all photos bigger and better by clicking on them.

It´s a foggy, calm and damp morning. The only sound that can be heard is that from migrating cranes and geese. The swallows has just started to fly to catch some breakfast and they fly low today.

I have been watching the news much lately. One reason is because we´re going to have elections here soon and it will be an exciting election this year. We really have seven parties in our parliament, but they have now created two big alliances so now we are moving fast towards becoming a two party country. I really don´t like that! We also have a racist party lurking outside the parliament.

There´s a deer in the middle of this photo, just where the grass meets the trees. She has been standing on the same spot on the gravel road every morning now. When she sees us she slowly walks to this place before jumping in to the forest.

A party needs 4% of the votes to get in to the parliament and still this party hasn´t managed to get that many votes. But I´m afraid it might this year, much because we don´t trust our politicians especially much. But where do they trust politicians :-) :-) :-)

If You click on this photo You will see that there´s another deer jumping away from us. You can see it near the road on the left side just where the grass meets the bushes.

The other reason I´ve been watching the news is to see how the weather behaves all over the world. If it isn´t heat waves and droughts, it is rainfall, flooding and landslides. Much of the landslide and flooding problem could have been avoided if they hadn´t cut down all trees. Their root systems keep the soil together and the trees use a lot of water. But profits has always been the main thing, the problems that comes after is a minor problem (until something happens that is).

But I am lucky to live in a country where they replant cut down forest and where the weather stays relatively calm (still that is!). But these weather fenomenas will continue and get a lot worse I´m afraid. The climate on this little planet of ours is getting warmer and warmer and with a warmer climate the problems will get worse. The big question is, is it too late to do something about it?

Here You can see one of my neighbors new garage. It is HUGHE :-) :-) :-) It´s actually much bigger that the cottage You can see on the left side of the road :-) I like it though and I do hope he will paint it in some other color than the usual red.

Today I´ll go to Gothenburg (by train) but I won´t bring my camera with me. But for now I´ll have a cup of tea and then I think I´ll take a nap before going away.

Have a great day now!

Even a withering lily is beautiful.

Hello Christer
True, man is the only animal that destroys the environment in which they live, sorry. Then people do not know why so many natural catastrophes.
It is the nature screaming help!
As racism is really bad.
Indeed any form of pre-concept.
Nesse contexto, não somos todos iguais, temos de respeitar nossas diferenças por mais sutis que elas sejam!
Bom dia e boa viagem!

Hi Andrea!
Yes we do a lot of damage to this little planet of ours. We are to many of us and we´re getting even more all the time.

You are so true in the last thing You write!
Have a great day now!
Christer.

That first photo is chilling, like right out of a Hitchcock movie. It's a good one! The rest are good too and I can't make out whether the garage on your neighbors property is complete with siding or what stage of building it's in. I love the last photo too and I hope you have a good time on your train ride and meeting up with your friends. We are heading to a well deserved pool party because of the unusual heat here in Florida and around the world. Tennessee hit 107 for the first time in their recorded history yesterday. Bummer!

Hi Christer,
It's odd but red seems to be a color that blends in to the greenery and gives the eyes a rest.
Traditionally, red was an inexpensive paint color to make which is why New England barns were almost always painted red. Blue, on the other hand, was a very expensive color to make. If you painted any building blue you were telling your neighbors in no uncertain terms that you had piles of cash.
My house is yellow. I don't know what that says about me. :-)
Love the thistle and spider web photo. My thistle is almost all downy now with just a few flowers here and there.
Have a lovely day.

Christer,
Everything looks so lush and green. I love the first photo with the fog. It looks eerie.

I love that you get to see deer on your walks. It would be thrilling for me.

I think my favorite photo of all today is the spider's web. The flowers framing it are just perfect.

I hope you had a wonderful day with your family.

Hi Z&M!
It´s just the sceleton that is made on the garage so far, the weather hasn´t helped since it has rained so much. But he´s getting there slowly, slowly :-)

We will get it warmer here too for a while now, but thenkfully nowhere near Your temperatures!
Have a great day now!

Hi Caryn!
Much the same reasons to use the red paint here too. But we painted all buildings red :-) It really started when castles down in Europe were built in red stone. The rich people wanted to have red houses here too so they started. Then they found out how cheap it was to make red paint and it spread to every one.

The thistles are slowly withering down here now, but I´ve seen new flowerbuds comming. I guess they will continue as long as it is warm enough.
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Joyce!
Yes we are lucky to get rain and these coopler temperatures, but it is hard to undertsand that until we see how the weather behaves in the rest of the world :-)

But as I remember every Groundhog day became a little bit better :-) I do hope that You´ll get a turn in the weather soon!

I hope the game was good!
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Kat!
Fog can be really eerie, especially out in the bog. Not strange that people thought strange creatures lived there.

But You on the other hand gets the chance to see coyotes :-)

It was real fun to see my relatives again :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Christer.
