Autumn is here!
I feel it´s time for me to shave my head again. The powder paint is usually very easy to wash of after working but if it is hot and it usually is, the powder sorts of glues itself to my scalp when I´m sweating. I can wash my hair several times and still remove powder from my head on sundays :-) So once or twice I just shave my head and when I want to remove the powder I just put my head under a tap :-)
Every time I´ve shaved my head I drive to Tråvad, where I had my gardencentre/nurcery and walk around waving to the old folks. Most of them really could use new glasses, so they never recognises me from a distance. Naturally they think I´m a skinhead and sort of waves back just in case so the skinhead doesn´t get angry :-) :-) They always get angry with me when they realise who I am :-) :-) :-)
We have really strong winds here today, almost storm actually. The winds are so strong that I don´t dare having a window open now or this comming night. It has rained all day too, but now the sun and the rains sort of takes turns on comming. Well the mosquitoes are atlest having trouble getting close in these winds :-) Butr I´m afraid that the rest of the old crab apple tree will fall if this continues. With my luck it will fall on my dogyard :-) But my dogs will only go straight in to my garden instead. I forgot to lock the door one day and all they did was to try to get in to the garden.
My neighbours tried to make them walk in to the dogyard again but gave up and opened the gate to my garden instead. My dogs just went to my patio and stayed there for the rest of the day :-) My neighbours doughter and her friend once wanted to take my dogs for a walk and when they got into the forest they released them from the leashes. Ten minutes after they had gone they knocked on my door and wondered if my dogs perhaps had shown up :-) :-) Yes, they were sitting in my patio. I don´t think I ever have to worry about them running away to far :-) :-)
Now it´s time for some tea and then I´ll read the first Harry Potter book. I´ve decided to re-read them again because I think they are brilliant books. Any book that makes kids want to start reading is a great book!

These are dark and very curious photos today Christer. The hidden forrest with all it's wonderful colors. The deepest dark greens and light browns. WOW. You got em all today, you skinhead!

It was a bit difficult taking photos today because the clouds were so thick that it almost was dark as night in the forest. But I was happy as long as it didn´t rain :-)

I like the yellow mushrooms at the beginning. Very bright. Probably not edible.
My dog wouldn't go very far either. He would go over to the neighbors to see if he could play with their dog. Then he would probably go play with the kids down the street.
It's drizzly, windy and cool here now. Good weather for soup and tea.

How is the name of this "acorn" from the first picture?
Marco calls acorn same, but I have another name.
As for his bald head ... you can not use a hood (these type of hospital, disposable) to avoid shaving her head?
In winter it must be hard to be without hair!

hi christer...i guess all the rain is making the mushrooms appear. even my moss is dried out and cracked. it's getting a bit cool for a shaved head. you might need a touque! do you hear about the success of your swedish actor in our 'true blood' series? he is one of the most popular actors in hollywood now. joyce
Oh goodness. What is the Swedish actors name? I am behing on this I think.
Also, I have been buying the hardbound Harry Potter books and sending them to Great Grandson in Georgia. Now I think I will begin collecting them for me. And...perhaps I should read them.
I do that..reread my books...and ..I always find something new...every single time.
YOu have the most interesting things growing there..odd things. Probably not odd to you.. :)

Hi Christer, really liked the start of this post with the acorn. Soon enough we will have them here on the VA eastern shore. And I have started seeing muchrooms growing in an amount the garden - hidden beneath the weeds, but not sure of their names.
I also get behind in reading and posting, so had to catch up with the old convent photos - very intriguing and interesting. Can people freely explore these?
Do you shave your head often, and won't the paint powder collect again?

Good reading Choice! Forgot to mention, Christer, that Grenville and I read all the Harry Potter books in sequence last winter during our snow storms. We would sit in side-by-side chairs with our cups of tea nearby

Acorn is the only english name I know of for them. In swedish they are called ekollon. I don´t mind shaving my head, I´ll just use a cap when it gets cold here :-)

I think the "official" autumn, when te,peratures drops beneith a certain point is a bit later. But I count autumn from the day the leafs gets yellow or red colors and that is now. I will take a photo :-)

The acorn is my favourite of todays photos. But You have oaks with different leafs than ours and I like them a lot. Oaks unfortunally gets very big otherwise I would buy one of Your kinds. Yes we can walk around there as we please. If You want a guide You´ll have to take one of those tourist busses. They also sell coffee and something to eat in a cottage next to the ruin.
I shave my head once or twice every year. When the hair is gone it´s just to put my head ubenieth a water tap and rince it of. If I have long hair it sticks like glue :-) :-)
So it was a fig :-) :-) :-)
I usually re read those books once every year. Especially if a movie is ccomming, so I can get irritated when the film isn´t like the book :-) :-) :-)

I think the temperature would stay around 15C today. Almost enough low so I can start a fire in my kitchen stove (if it´s warmer it gets to hot inside here if I use that stove :-) )
