We took our morning walk rather early today, around 6am, and iot was really chilly (7C, 45F). Fog was covering lots of the trees and the morning dew dropped from house roofs like heavy rain. There were really no need for bringing my mosquitoe hat, but I did anyway. You can see a short video here in the bottom of my blog why I like to bring it on my walks into the forest and bog.

I woke up at 4:40 am this morning and would have loved to stay a bit longer, but three 90 pounds dogs (Orvar actually weighs 99 pounds and are now on a diet) can really make anyone get up when jumping on them :-) :-) :-) The cold makes me feel like I´ve been hit by a truck so hopefully it´s breaking out now so I won´t have to have it for the rest of this summer.

We did get some sun yesterday evening even if it only lasted for a couple of hours.

I forgot to mention yesterday that a crown princess (or crown prince for that matter) must ask the king and the gouvernement for permission to get married. If they feel the person isn´t good enough they´ll say no and there will be no wedding. If they do so anyway the crown princess/prince will loose their right to the throne. I took to photo´s from the tv to show You all here. After that it was enough with royal wedding for me :-) :-)

Our crown princess Victoria and our king Carl 16:th Gustav.

To the left Daniel Westling, now prince of Sweden and earl of Västergötland and knight of something and to the right prince Carl-Philip, brother to Victoria.

It´s now 8:12 am and the temperature has rissen to 11C (52F), the sky is grey and it will most probably rain later today. So I think I´ll makle another cup of tea and then get back to bed :-) I think I´ll even force my dogs to sleep there too, That will make it warm and cozy :-) :-) :-)
have a great day now!

This video isn´t any higher kind of filmm making :-) But it does show  some of how many flies I have around me when walking out on the bog and in the forest. I made one when standing beside the bog, but unfortunally that didn´t capture the flies, just the sound of them. There were not only many more flies, but there were also as amny mosquitoes :-) :-) When I turn the camera here it´s just because a mosquitoe bit me on my hand :-) :-)

The first too photos are really mystery shots. Save for a Dracula movie. The rest are colorful and really nice. It's Father's Day over here in the states Christer. Happy Father's Day! We will start the grills at noon and pig out all afternoon. But we expect rain most of the day so the grand children will have to find something to break indoors.

Hi Z&M!
Vampire movies are popular right now, perhaps I should get them to come over here and make one :-)

Happy Fathersday to You! We don´t have it for six months yet I think.

There´s lot of things to break indoors, they will surly find something :-) :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Christer, I was in my bedroom watching the video and had to make sure there were no blies after hearing the buzzing. No wonder you wear the mosquito hat all the time...you NEED it. Thanks for the royal wedding news..I didn't watch it either. Enjoy your Sunday.

Hi Beatrice!
:-) :-)
and still, this wasn´t that many :-) These flies doesn´t do anything really, more than annoy us all to insanity :-)

I´ve started all radiators and taken a small nap. Now I think it´s time for a dvd or something like that.
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Christer!
The buzzing of the little beasts would drive me nuts. Never mind being bitten.
Hope the temperature warms up a bit for you soon and it's more like summer should be.

Hi Caryn!
If it wasn´t for the fles always wants to get in to my ears and nostrels I wouldn´t be bothered. But my mosquito hat is perfect :-) Now I have also become immune it seemes towards the mosquitoe sting, so I don´t feel the itching as much.

I would be happy if it at least got a bit warmer and not only on week days. It would be nice to have that on weekends too :-) :-) :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

hi christer....occasionally i see smooth chows but i don't find them to be nearly as cute as long haired ones. interestingly, teddy mother was a smooth white chow.

Okay, what about that Carl-Philip guy? He's all... decorated and handsome and stuff. I'll take him. Please expedite my shipment :) :) :)

Fantastic pictures today. The first and third one down really get me.

Do your dogs really sleep with you? Jump on you? They're huge! Though I know with Babu, animals will sleep anywhere they damn well please :)

Dude.. those mosquitoes.. are crazy! I don't know how you do it.

Hi Joyce!
Thankfully it´s much better by the cottage. Those flies I have here are only annoying when they come indoors :-) :-)

I agree, smoth chows are not even close when it comes to cuteness. Perhaps that´s the reason they don´t show so often. So her mother was a smoth one, funny how the genetics can jump to long hair then.

We finally got some sun here, so now I can turn of the radiators again. I hate to do that during summer!
Have a great day now!

Hi Perovskia!
He has a girlfriend at the moment, but since she has showed way to much of her body (and doing things not to be talking about :-) :-) ) she will never be allowed to marry him. That scandal could porobably be the end for our royal house. So just wait some time and I´ll ship him over :-) :-) :-)

I´m happy to say that it´s not like that here at home. Now is the time for mides too. They are so tine that a mosquitoe net doesn´t help. Normally they don´t care that much for me, but today when it was only I there they found me. They were all over my for head and neck and I got a burning sensation when they started cutting on my skin for my blood. Their time is very short here though. They can actually be so many that even mooses dies from an attack.

Have a great day now!
Christer.

Well...you little video certainly made it's point! :) Lotsa flies! I get all undone when there is just one that bothers me and get on a quest to outwit it. :)

I recently rented a movie "As It Is In Heaven"..and all the homes were in that same red as yours. They also spoke in Swedish and it was so interesting. I had no idea it was not in English until I got it..but it was kind of neat hearing them speak..I read the subtitles, of course. A rather painful film to watch really.

As for the wedding...I agree that the news media carries things on a bit long...probably as long as the public show interest...but in Sweden's case with the Princess...etc...I doubt they want to offend the Monarchy.. :)and so it goes on...and on.

I know there are lots of flies, etc..but don't they sort of go away after their initial swarming season? Or...like our house flies here..are they just always and forever there en mass?

I always appreciate the photo's of your beautiful dogs against the background of the forest.

Your description of the heavy moisture was so well put that I could almost feel and see it! GOOD JOB!
Mona

P.S. Have you seen or heard of the play we just saw?? Can you imagine being buried alive with your loved one beneath the sands of Egypt??!!

Christer,
Those flies are just horrible. I'd be screaming and swatting the air like a mad woman.

Love the pictures!

Hi Mona!
These forest flies sort of stays all summer long now, but all others have their season. The flies, like horse flies will stay just a short time thankfully.

The play Aida is based on the opera thar Verdi once wrote (I checked that up before I commented in Your blog :-) :-) ) A fantastic story! I haven´t see the play, but I do love the opera.

As it is in heaven is rather tragic film. We loved it over here. I know that many americans doesn´t like subtitles so it´s great that You looked at it.

Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Kat!
Still, there were a lot more of them by the boig :-) :-) Thankfully it´s quite different here at home. As long as they are outdoors they don´t care about me, but when they get inside!!!!

Have a great trip now!
Christer.
