The strangest thing happened this morning as I was reading through and approving all comments made on my blog yesterday. Suddenly the page sort of jumped and all comments were gone??!! All but Aussimade´s and I think that was because I hadn´t read that one yet. I can´t find the lost ones and I´m so sorry about that! My new computor and I aren´t compatable at all :-) But I don´t think I had anything to do with this. I wasn´t even touching the computor at the moment. So now I´ve removed that I have to approving comments, doing so I hope that all comments won´t be erased again.

Can You see them? the flowerbuds on my grape wine? Click on the photo to make it bigger. This is the most hardy species of grape wine there is, the Wild river or Frost grape (Vitis riparia). It´s been recorded to survive after temperatures dropped to -54C (-65F). It might be that it flowers to late here to get grapes that ripes, otherwise I have no idea whay it isn´t possible to buy here. I bought seeds from Gardens North eight years ago, now it will flower for the first time and I´m happy :-) :-)

Claytonia sibirica.

It´s been a cool and somewhat cloudy morning. Perfect weather to take the morning walk in. Mosquitoes and flies are so much calmer then. Summer mornings this much north usually are rather cool. The temperature seldom reaches over 15C (59F). Well that does depend on what time You call morning of course :-) I´m talking about the time from 4:30 am till around 8am. We seldome has what we call tropical nights here, that is when temperatures doesn´t drop below 20C (68F). That happens perhaps once in ten years and I´ve never liked them especially much. It´s impossible to sleep then since most of us up here doesn´t have aircondition.

Summer is here and now the prime time for my woodland is over. Most of my photo´s of flowers so far has come from that part of my garden, like trillium, anemone, primulas and so on. But now those flowers will spread their seeds and wilt down. I´m not even weeding out there more than one more time this year. If I do that too often I also risk of getting rid of small seedlings that I want too keep. But I think I´ll have enough with other flowers to show You for the rest of the summer :-) It looks as if this will be a good year for irises if nothing else will work :-)

Buttercup, Ranunculis acris. This is how it looks in the wild. This buttercup deosn´t spread as enormous as the cousine R.repens.

This is a garden variety called 'Citrina'.

I have no idea what this is, but it grows on the most dry spot there is.

I have already had two cups of tea but I think there´s room for one more :-) This is a day made for relaxing and that´s what I´m going to do :-)
Have a great day now, I will!

My gosh, it seems like yesterday that you were mired in snow and having difficulty driving. Snow piled everywhere..and now look at it. Watching the season unfold across the U.S. and the globe is just the most amazing thing. I wish my husband had lived to see such things as computers. He would have been overjoyed at all that he could do and see. So much has happened in the 13 years since he died. Amazing things!

Such lovely pictures. I always enlarge them so I can see the details.

Hi Mona!
Time just flies! And when it comes to getting rid of winter that´s totally ok. But it could slow down now :-) :-)

In many ways this computor revolution is fantastic! I got my first computor around 13 years ago. We could by them through Volvo that I worked at back then. A whole new world opened up :-)
Have a great day now!

Yes I see the buds on your grape vine. We bought a house way back in the 70's, previous owner lined the fence line with grapes. Never a bud for three years then wammo! We had grapes that would have made wine for the nation of I-tay or Italy however you choose to spell it. They were wonderful and we shared them with our friends and neighbors. Lovely photos Christer. Enjoy your weekend.

Sorry to hear about the lost comments, Christer. Computers can be so fickle sometimes, especially getting used to a new one, which is probably why so often folks put off replacing an aging one (like myself). Enjoyed the photos - buttercups are really blooming here (VA eastern shore). Hope the grape vines produce well.

Enjoy your weekend and cup of tea.
Thanks for visiting the Frog & Penguinn. Grenville and I enjoy reading all comments!

hi christer...these computers are wonderful when they work but when they don't!!!!! so frustrating. it looks like winter is finally behind you. i feel like i live in the tropics. it is so wet and hot and humid. everything is covered in slime and is slippery. my grapes hardly produced at all last year but this year there are tons of small grape clusters all over the vines. the same with my service berries and strawberries. they are loaded with fruit. i was in the lower garden yesterday and i felt like i was in an aviary there were so many birds. enjoy your restful day! joyce

Hi Z&M!
Grapes are hardly hardy in this country, exept for some comming from the baltic countries and russia. But those grapes need totally different soil to survive (the one that rhododendrons like). So if this works here I´m going to start spread it :-)

Grapes just picked from the vine is soo tasty!
Have a great day now!

Hi Beatrice!
I had my old computor for nine years, so I understood it totally. This one and I seemes to hate each other :-) :-)

Buttercups means summer for mee and even if many looks upon them as weeds thay are allowed in my garden :-)

I´m happy if I get some grapes :-) I had a hughe grape vine when I had my gardencentre/nurcery. It gave so many grapes the first year that I gave to all my customers and children in that village :-)

Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Joyce!
I think I´ll like my computor when it has gone a couple of years :-) But at the moment there´s a war going on between us :-) :-)

I think that the kind of weather You have now is terrible! It´s impossible to do anything without being totaaly drained of energy. I do hope You´ll get cooler weather soon!

We had a great fruit and berry year last year and it seemes to be even better this year. If I at least get some grapes I´ll be happy. I think I´ll have to protect them from the birds, they are allowed to eat everything else :-) :-)

I think the birds are to busy feeding the small ones right now, because the singing has stopped for a while. They only sing early in the morning right now.
Take care in that hot weather!
Christer.

Så roligt att du tittade hit!

Mysfaktorn är hög här i byn, jag bor dessutom nästan allra längst bort i den alldeles intill ett skogsområde och en riktigt stor mosse.

Ha det got nu pojken!
