I´m at home today and probably tomorrow to. I slipped in the paint box yesterday, just before I was going home. I had forgotten how slippery that paint was (I´m a powder painter if You don´t know that) and had cleaned the box and was just about to go out from it when I slipped. It was so slippery that I couldn´t stand up without falling again. It was quite funny to be honest :-)

Buttercup, Ranunculus repens. It´s not such a bad weed if You have sandy soil like me in the garden. Otherwise it´s terrible, but beautiful just the same.

Another one that is a bit to happy to spreading itself, Geranium pyrenaicum. It can have this color or white or pink. I think I have them all. It has spread from my garden out into the nature now :-)

A third one that should be avoided if You don´t like weedy perennilas. Euphorbia 'Fireglow' (I think that´s the name anyway).

It did hurt some when going home and also later on that evening, but nothing compared to what it did this morning :-) :-) :-) But I had to go to a meeting where the union should explain the details in the latest wage negotiations for us in the industry (thankfully I still have my crutches since the hip surgery). It isn´t especially much that we´re getting but it´s something anyway.

A favourite of mine. Geranium phaeum, Mourning widow. Is also one that can spread a lot. Likes to grow in deep shadow.
Polemonium something. We call them Jacobs ladder over here.

Black chokeberry, Aronia melanocarpa. A beutiful little bush but I got really dissapointed at the berries. I´ve heard so much about them, but to be honest they taste like crap!

After I had listened to that I drove to my job and told them I couldn´t work. I could see how tired they already were because it´s a warm and sunny day today. Working in a painting workshop is warm even at wintertime, during summer it can be nasty warm. I drink around 8 liters of water (a bit more that two US gallons) on hot summer days.

I found this beetle one morning in my Ginnala maple (Acer tataricum ssp. ginnala). I have no idea what it can be called but I think it´s beautiful. It was a bit longer than one inch, almost three centimeters.

Another beautiful beetle. It shined like bronze in the sunlight.

I went to the grocery store in Kvänum on my way home and bought two big bags of tea :-) So now I have a cup just beside me when writing this :-) :-) :-) It won´t be much of walking the coming days, but I do have a lot of photo´s to show from when I didn´t have any computer :-)

The lilacs by my entrence. They smell already strong even if the flowers isn´t open yet. Soon the smell will be so strong that I can´t stay for long at that side of my cottage. Headache is a nice name for what I get then :-)

Now it´ll be some more tea and then some rest in front of the tv
Have a great day now!

Hi Joyce!
I´m getting used to falls nowdays :-) :-)

It is a tough thing to cut down trees. I´ve decided to cut down one of my apple trees since it slowly falls appart, but I just can´t do it :-) But neither fothogillas nor Harry Lauders walking sticks is hardy enough to grow here, so that I don´t have to worry about anyway :-)

Sorry about Your allergies! I´m lucky enough just to be allergick to birches and only when they have a massive flowering.
Take care now!
Christer.

Hi Christer,

Sorry to hear about your fall. Hope you are up and about quickly.

I didn't know people ate chokecherries. The birds get them all here and that's okay. The berries are all drupe and no flesh anyway.

Enjoy your tea and get back on your feet soon.

Nice fence line in the bottom picture. Is that in front of your cottage? Ditto Joyce, you really have to be more careful espcially having surgery a few weeks ago. Rest up and maybe take those crutches with you to work.

Again, sorry about your ankle.

We get a 2% increase at work, every year. It's enough, I guess. I don't have much to complain about with it.

Glad you got your tea :)

I can't wait to get my maxi lens for bug close-ups!

Christer! I told you to be careful...I'm just sayin'...have a cup of tea and think about it...

The flowers are gorgeous. Thank you, so much, for sharing them...

Hi caryn!
I´m feeling better alredy, but my ancle feels rather stiff yet so I´ll stay at home tomorrow also.

Not choke cherries, chokeberries :-) It´s a different species. Is said to be really healthy and is a big thing in eastern Europe. But I just can´t stand them, so I´m glad if the birds eat them :-) :-)

I can´t but enjoy my tea :-)
Have a great day now!

Hi Z&M!
No that is on the west side of my cottage where I have my wood land.

The problem is that the different colors have different structure. Some are very rough and some are really slippery. I thought this was a rough color so I just jumped right in to the box, cleaned it and discovered that it was slippery when I was going out :-) :-) Next time I´ll take a better look!
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Perovskia!
I´m getting used to get hurt everywhere now :-) :-)

We usually gets at least the procentage that we´ve had in inflation the last year. But times has been so tough that we must be happy if we get anything now. Soon the local negotiations will start and this is the first time I´ll be the one negotiating.

I´m so glad for my tea :-)
Have a great day now!

Hi Sharlene!
I´ve been lucky with these insects, they stayed still while I came real close with the camera :-)

But it was late in the day and I was just going home :-) But I should have checked what kind of structure the paint had, if I´d done that I would have known it was slippery.

I´m glad You like the flowers!
Have a great day now!

Hi Christer

Thanks for clarifying that.
On the other hand, anything with the word "choke" in its name is probably best left to the birds. :-)

Hi again Caryn!
I was thinking about that name in english when I saw it :-) Says a lot about the taste of those berries :-) :-) :-) But it´s really healthy they say. I don´t care, I´ll never eat them egein :-) :-)
Take care now!
Christer.

I'm a new visitor, Christer. Read about your fall and hope you are feeling better after the cups of tea and rest. Enjoyed the photos too. Drop by our blog spot anytime!

Good luck! And be tough! I will think good thoughts for you.

lol.. I understand about feeling and hurting everywhere.

I'm having a tea as we speak. Well, I'm speaking, you're reading :) Seems with my new possible diagnosis I'm going to have to cut back or eliminate my tea/coffee. Impossible, I tell you, but switching to decaf is another alternative, which I'll do gladly :)

My oh My Christer, be careful eh? Now enjoy your days off and sip another cup of tea for me.

Hi Perovskia!
Thanks! I´ll need all luck I can get, won´t come far with my charm on this one :-) :-) :-)

I actually stopped drinking tea and coffee for many months once. The first two weeks were very hard for my friends, thay said that I became very nasty and that was when I still was in my best mood :-) :-) But after that I became normal again :-) :-)
Take care now!
Christer.

Hi Diane!
I promise I´ll be more careful! I´ll try a short walk in an hour or so. If it works ok I´ll be back at work tomorrow and then I´ll make sure what kind of structure the paint has before jumping in to my paint box cleaning it :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

You fell??? Good grief, Christer! I can't leave you alone for a moment! lol
I'm teasing. Falling is NOT something you should be doing... (like you did it on purpose!) :)

Ok...I am off to get a second cup of ..coffee!
Your photo's are wonderful...not really nuts about the bugs...but..still great pictures!

Hi Mona!
Yeah, I fell again :-) :-) I seeme to do that a lot :-)

But I didn´t realise that I´ve gottenn hurt at first. I just laughed in the paintbox. It was so slippery that I couldn´t stand upp, so I had to drag myself out of the box by gripping things outside it :-) :-)
Take care now!
Christer.
