It´s was an almost magical morning when we took our morning walk. No wind and the rain had just stopped falling. The air was filled with the smells only a forest can have after a rain and all birds were singing with joy. Two pairs of geese were flying over us in cirkles, honking like they usually does, I think they were flying to the fields to eat some grass. Dears were “barking” as warning when we were walking out to the bog and even if I wanted to cough I didn´t. It would have distrurbed to much.

Perhaps I still was very influensed by the film Avatar that I looked at yesterday evening. That was one of the most amazing films I´ve ever seen! I would have loved to walk around in a world like that :-) But unfortunally we humans would most probably behave like they did in that film, if we were strong enough. It´s something we unfortunally have shown on and on and on during our history.

The first buds on my clematises.
The first leafs on my Acer tataricum ssp ginnala, Tatarian maple.

There´s no machines out in the forest any more and it´s Sunday so perhaps this magic feeling will stay on for the rest of the day? I can only hope :-) My cottage is warm and nice since there have been a fire in the stove all morning, a pot of tea is ready down in the kitchen and all animals are sleeping all over the place :-)

Have a great day now, I will!

My absolute favourite in my garden, Uvularis grandiflora (Largeflower bellwort). One week more and it will flower I think.

Tulipa tarda, Tarda Tulip. This wild species only becomes around 20cm high (around 8 inches) and self sows richly.

Good morning, Christer.

Your kind and gentle words that you left me this morning touched my heart. Thank you.

Now, on to your post. I still haven't seen Avatar and am beginning to regret that I never saw it on the big screen. Perhaps one of our "dollar theaters" will run the movie this summer. I hear it is amazing.

Beautiful pictures this AM! Hope your Sunday is going well.

Val

Hi Valerie!
It was a great film on tv, but it must have been magnificent in the movies! You won´t regret seeing it on tv though! I´m glad I bought the film so I can see it many more times :-) :-)

The day has continued good. That magic feeling is gone, but the sun has showed up and I´ve been weeding some flowerbeds and taking some more photo´s, two of my favourite things to do :-)
Have a great mothers day!
Christer.

Good morning, Christer! As usual your photo's and discription of your forest and walk were wonderful. I have not seen Avatar but I want to. I missed it at the theatres and now I'm sorry. It won't be the same on the television even though I have a large flat screen. I am wondering if it comes with the glasses if you buy it. I was hoping by now that 3-D movies would be able to be seen with those glasses that we had back in the "olden days"..:) Yep...they have had 3-D for many years and not improved enough on it to be able to film in that dimension. I will see it anyway though.
I don't know what it is about but I have a feeling that it has something to do with the destruction of our beautiful earth.
That would upset me..
Have you ever (of course you have) seen afids on roses? Not sure if that is how it is spelled..but afids suck the life out of the rose. They cover the little bud and when it is over it crumbles from it's life blood being taken and it dies and falls away. I feel, sometimes that we humans are like those afids to our earth. We are sucking it dry of it's nutrients and one day it will begin to die and nothing will be able to stop it. To not think this is true will be fatal to the life of man on this planet. We are too many...and yes, I contributed. :) Sad thought, but I believe it is true.
On that negitive note.. lol I will leave you.
Enjoy your tea.. :)

Christer...I don't know Joyce..but what I know about her is that #1, she likes you and those she likes she loves to spoil. :) #2, I think making up this package for you give Joyce joy! Real joy! I have heard it in her tone when she has spoken of you. You have a true friend in her. Enjoy!

Good evening Mona!
They don´t sell avatar with the glasses. That was a big dissapointment for many fans I´ve heard. But belive me, it is a great film anyway!

I remember those glasses :-) (they are different nowdays) I remember they showed a couple of those movies on tv and one had to buy a certain paper to get them. The 3d nowdays has much higher quality.

Yes I´ve seen those little creatures destroy roses. They seemees to live all around the world and I feel much the same about us humans. We do tend to destroy this little world of ours and we have nowhere else to go. In the movie they say that we have destroyed our world and I think we will in the end.

Joyce is a truly kind person! and I would love to be able to see her garden for real :-) It looks so amazing when seeing it on the blog!
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi, Christer
One of the most beautiful things, to me at least, is the sound of Canada geese flying by moonlight. It evokes some sense of wilderness and every time I hear it I have to stop and listen in silence until they fade away.

Canada geese on the lawn in the daytime are a different experience altogether. :-)

It's sunny, windy and cold here. I think I will join you in a pot of tea. Have a great day now.

Hi Caryn!
I love the sound of geese, but I´ve never heard them fly by moonlight. I didn´t think they flew then. Must go out in autumn when they fly back south again.

On the lawn they are a night mare :-) :-) :-)

Have a great day You too!
Christer.

Ja det var en sådan härlig morgon! Blev lite förvånad dock över att det redan börjat titta upp små svampar ur marken.

Ja tänk att få vandra omkring i en sådan värld :-)
