Spring won´t come for yet a couple of weeks I´m afraid. Even if we get 4C (39F) during the day, the nights still are to cold. This night was the less cold we´ve had in months -2C (28F). The cover of snow have sunken down quite much, but it´s still almost half a meter ( almost 2 feet) thick. This is how winters used to be in this country and I have to say I don´t like it :-) :-) I´m quite happy with the warm and rainy winters we´ve had these last ten years :-) :-)

The roads get quite icy now when the days gets a bit warmer. Not easy to walk here at all.

My buttock is healing fine and I would like to walk much more than I can. In the hip there´s nothing to heal to be honest. The things sits where they shall and that´s it. But my left buttock now has a thirty centimeter long scar (12 inches) and it´s that big muscle that will keep my hip in the right place. There are some things I´m not allowed to do now, like shovelling snow or cross my legs. Not drive yet either and that is a bit troublesome.

Like tomorrow for instance. Then they are going to take away all stiches and nowdays they don´t come home to me to remove them, I have to go to them. Since I don´t drive I then have to order a taxi (reduced price ofcourse, otherwise I would have taken those stiches myself). To the closest doctor there´s no problem, I will be there in time, but home is another thing. We are several people that will go in that taxi and it´s not sure we all live at the same direction :-) :-) So even if I start at 10 am from the doctor it´s not sure I will bw home until 4pm :-) :-)

But otherwise I´m just doing fine here. I would like to walk much longer than I can, the roads are not to good here now, lots of ice on them. So I have lots of extra energy and I have no idea how to get rid of it :-)

Now I can smell the coffee from my kitchen and it´s time to say godbye for now.

Have a great day now!

The snow has melted away in some places.

It is so nice to read the temp in celcius on another blog lol I thought I was the only one with the majority of blogs being from the USA ;-)
We are at the same temps too ! it hovers around 2c -4c during the day but Manitoba has been blessed with early spring weather this yr. It is going up to 9c the forecast says for saterday !
This early spring is good news for us but I also had really wanted to snow shoe this yr while watching my mothers home .
Thank you for up dating on your progress . Do be careful with those icy spots ! do you have some sand or salt for around your front entrance etc. I know you will not be venturing out down those icy roads but around the outside of the home it can thaw freeze up bad at times too .
Listen to me being the mum that I am lol
keep warm , blessings on a good recovery & look forward to oncoming updates

Hi Rox!
We are a small minority that uses celcius I think :-) :-)
Wewon´t even get close to 9C here, on the contrary it´s seemes to get colder once again!! Well sooner or later spring will come, I just wish it would hurry :-)

I´m afraid I am walking on those icy roads :-) There´s nowhere else to go I´m afraid. But I don´t take a step until I´m totally sure that both cruches have a good grip on the ground. Around my home I use sugar to melt the ice. It´s as good as salt and better for my dogs. Bit more expensive though, but if it spares the animals it´s worth it.
Take care now!
Christer.

Christer.

HiSplendid!
It wouldn´t be so bad if I only could walk around on all little roads and paths that we have here, but snow and ice really stops me from doing that.

I think all of us is ready for spring now :-) I just wonder how we can get the weather to feel that way too :-) :-)
Have a great day now!

I know you'll hate to read this but we are getting back to normal here in Florida with three days of 77 degree weather, nice, as that is usually where the temps are for this time of the year. We live for our winters here and this one was very cold by our standards. Glad you are keeping up with your exercise. I know it is difficult with the icy ground and you must feel like you're walking on a slippery slope. I would hate to read that you fell so please take it easy. Good luck tomorrow getting to the doctors. I loved it when they took my stitches out . . . FREEDOM! It felt good. Have a good one today and don't worry about tomorrows long ride.

Hi Joyce!
Thanks! It´s nice to be back too :-)

It´s more flat here, but I do hope most water goes down into the bog, otherwise I´m afraid our cellars are the next target for it :-)

If I can get tha back tire, wich is flat, changed I would probably be able to start driving in the end of next week. I´m not sure when I can return to work, but I´m on sickleave until April last now as a beginning.
Take care now!
Christer.

Hi Z&M!
On the contrary! It´s so nice to hear that some places are getting back to normal after this horrible winter :-)

I´ll take it very easy on those icy parts. I don´t take a step ubtil I can feel that either my crutches or feet has a steady grip on the road :-) It takes the time it takes :-)

Yes it is very special when they take away the stiches. It´s like one finally is totally healthy or something like that :-) :-) And it doesn´t itch that bad after, like it does now :-) :-) :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Christer,
Welcome back!! We missed you.

All our snow has gone. The last few traces were the piles left by the plow, but they all melted by yesterday. March, though, can be tricky and more snow isn't an impossibility.

Spring will come. It never disappoints.

Hi Kat!
Thank You! I´m glad to be back again.

Unfortunally cold winds from the arctic will dominate here for at least a week. But that will at least mean sunny weather mostly :-)

Spring will come, I only wish it could hurry up :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Christer..by now you can see I am trying to catch up on your posts. :) As usual. I fall so far behind.
Yes, I see the ground there...
I was thinking..by the time Spring gets here in full force..you will be ready and able to do a lot more walking and such. So..the timing will be just right for you.
Thanks for taking all the photo's of the dogs..
I love those. Especially when you catch them at play.
Mona

Hi Mona!
Unfortunally I´m not allowed to do very much even if I already can. The risk of my hip popping out is to big this first year. But it sure would be nice to be able to walk where ever I want again :-) I do hope the warm winds from the south will come soon :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

No Brasil como aqui, em Portugal, também usamos os graus Celsius. Sei que USA utillizam o Fahrenheit e talvez a Inglaterra ( essa não tenho certeza)

Hi Andrea!
I think they have started to use Centigrade in Brittain now too.
Have a great day now!
