As always, Bertil follows us on our walks.

This isn´t a place where things happens if You know what I mean, but on Sunday mornings even less happens if possible :-) Still it´s easy to feel the difference from an ordinary day, perhaps it´s because there´s even less traffic on the big road a couple of kilometers (miles) away?

I´ve spread some ashes on the snow just to see how much faster the snow melts there. The ashes is black and keeps the heat from the sun so much better, so therefore the snow should melt rather fast there when the sun shines.

The snow is now rather thick and compact. I can walk on it with crutches without any problems. Well atleast early in the morning before the sun reaches it :-)

The morning walk was fantastic today. My dogs knows where they can run around like they want and where they have to wait for me before running away again. So there´s no need to shout after them. So we were walking around there in the sun and really cold air when I suddenlu heard the pigeons sound. I would like to say that it was the first sign of spring I noticed this year. Weather it´s forest- or ring necked pigeons I have no idea. I could see the bird in the top of a spruce, but it was still to far away to say what kind it was. On my way home I heard another one :-)

There were plenty of deers running away from us through the forest and on a distance I could see the big fox sniffing on the ground after food. Walking around with crutches makes it a bit hard to reach the camera in time and even if I had done so the camera still has to decide weather it wants to take that photo I want it to take :-) :-)

Teodor preferes to stay at home most of the time :-)
This is his basket. No one else is allowed to be close to it :-)

Now we´re back again and I´ve enjoyed a cup of tea, the second of many this day I´m afraid :-) My dogs are spread around my cottage and my cats are sleeping on the kitchen table. Yesterday I could reach my left foot and cut my toenails for the first time in months :-) Every step feels so fine :-)

Have a great day now!

Sounds like the healing process is in full swing. You should be off those crutches soon. Bertil blends in with nature and looks like a real tiger. I like the black dog coat against the white snow too. Glad you could get out for a long walk. You deserve some tea. Keep up the good recovery!

Hi Joyce!
Last time I was back at work after three months, but he said I would have bigger troubles comming back this time. I don´t feel so though, I belive it´ll take three months this time too.

Our daylightsavings doesnt start until the 28 this month. Living this far north as we sweeds do we don´t save much to be honest. During summers I have perhaps 4 hours real darkness during the night. Even further north they have midnight sun :-) :-)

I wish baseball were a bigger sport over here. I think we have a team in Falköping, but I have no idea where or when they play.

Have a great day now!
Christer.

Christer.

Hi Z&M!
Well from next week I´m allowed to skip one of the crutches. But since it´s so slippery on our roads I will still have bothe when taking our walks.
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Christer.

You sound like you are feeling SO much better (your hip) than before. Hey, it's good to be able to cut ones own toe nails.. :)

Spring has been stirring here for some time now...flowers are blooming like crazy and it's still winter! I really do love California..but now I am dreading those terribly hot summers.
Be sure and get lots of pictures when Spring hits. I've noticed there are buds and a tiny light green starting to show on our tree's. It's great.
Give a cat a basket and you have a happy cat! The picture tells it all.
Enjoy your tea! I am enjoying my coffee with Vanilla creamer. :)

Hi Mona!
I do feel great, especially when I can walk around a lot :-) But it is a bit difficult when all melt water freezes during the night making small icy lakes on the road :-) :-)

We do get small signs that spring is on its way, but it will take weeks before we can say it´s here. But I promise to take loads of spring photo´s :-)
Have a great day now!

I love you pix and pets! Ready to migrate. (well, not if I have to leave my place...) Glad to hear you're getting about, even with the crutches. You'll be fine in no time. Have a great day.

I´m glad You like them :-)

Now I´m only waiting for some help with my car, my left back tire has no air) and when that is fixed I´ll really get around again :-)
