According to the weather forcast on swedish televishions webb site we´re having sun right now. Since being out a fair bit of the morning and now looking through my window I can say that we´re not :-) :-) It´s been cloudy and foggy all morning and will probably continue to be like that all day. But the snow and ice is slowly melting away, so who am I to complain :-)

This week I don´t have to order my food like I have been these last weeks. I think it´s a fantastic service the grocery store in Gudhem has, to take the food to us when we can´t go there our selves. But it is nicer to be able to pick the things one selve even if there´s the big risk that so many more things comes home than what I really need. It´s so easy to tell one self that one needs things that really isn´t necessary :-) :-)

Bjurums old village school. Today there´s a photo exhibit and I think it was nature photo´s.

There are only two House care (as we call them over here) by the lake and that means few cranes :-)

I drove by the lake to see if there were any cranes yet and there were quite a few. But unfortunally they were a bit to far away so the photo´s didn´t come out especially well. But I did get a good photo of some geese instead :-)

This sign says "Bird protection area" and it´s placed by the road in to my village. Between those dates only those living in my village or guests (I think they count the mailman and milk trucks in to that :-)  ) are allowed in the village.

There were no falls on the morning walk today and I´m planning on not falling the rest of the day either :-) My wrist does hurt some but I don´t think anything is broken in it anyway.

Now it´s time for a cup of tea and perhaps a sandwich or two :-)
Have a great day now, I will!

Hi Joyce!
I´m still steady on my feet :-)
Yes birds has really started their spring songs now! It´s so nice to hear that they have decided it´s spring enough when the weather says different :-)

I´ve heard racoons can be very nasty, but they do look adorable :-) :-) Over here we only have to worry about cats or foxes and they usually stay far away when there are so many dogs around as it is on my little road.

Have a great day now!
Christer.

Sorry to hear about your fall Christer. I hope you heal fast. Gotta be careful after surgery. Didn't look too sunny :-)
We are cloudy here today too. I am off work today and was hoping for some sun. Take care.

Hi jacqueline and welcome to my blog!

The fog really helps to get a romantic feeling here, but it´s a bit to cold for romance to be honest :-) :-)

But spring must have come much further where You live than here I guess? Here it´s only snowdrops that has come above the ground yet. But soon all plants will explod in groth :-) :-)

Have a great day now and welcome back!
Christer.

Glad you're feeling ready to deal with the temptations of self-help at the grocery. I hate when I go in for a specific item and end up with a cartful. Grrr. But, I really NEEDED those items...

I love your pix and the morning walks you take and share with us. This morning, I checked on my spring garden and I have lots of little green sprouts peeking just above the ground. The snap peas have reached 3". And, I had to pick the first flowers off the strawberries, which is always very hard to do. Will post pix, later.

Hi Sharlene!
I almoat always comes home with things I really doesn´t need at the time :-) :-)

Nothing much has happened here in my garden yet, it´s the snowdrops but nothing more I´m afraid. But I did find an Yeloow Asphodel (Asphodeline lutea) that looked very green and healthy. It must have been that way under the snow all winter.

I think it´ll take at least a month before strawberries blooms here.
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Ingen sol men mycket fågelsång blev det här. Dessutom har jag hört vårat häckande par med tranor ute på mossen idag :-)
Ha det gott!

I'm wondering if the school house is rock construction on the lower level and frame construction on the second level. It looks like it might even be a combination. I like architecture like that as many of us grew up with it. Very homey type housing. Trees look to be greening up a bit over there. Maybe you've had the last of the snow, I hope. Glad you're getting around more. Did you remember to buy a candy bar at the store?

Hi Z&M!
I think it most probably is like that on the old school building. Not that common here otherwise.

I don´t think the tress gets greener yet for some time, but it´s so much easier to see the moss and lichens on them now :-)

It´s so nice to be able to drive around as I wish to. Even if I might stay at home, but I can if I want to :-) Oh yes, I did remember that :-)
Have a great day now!

Hi Christer.

So glad to hear that you had no falls on your morning walk! Hope that wrist continues to heal.

I loved the school house pic...is the village school now a "museum" of sorts? As a former school teacher, I love to take pictures of historic school houses around the country when I am vacationing.

Yes, our weather forecasters are sometimes inacurrate as well...,but as long as it's warm, I'm not one to complain too much!

Hope you have a great day,
Val

Hi Valerie!

Unfortunally it´s not a museum. Nowdays is used for meetings of any kind. But I know someone that went there as a child so I know how it looked like back then.

I agree, as long as it´s warm and the snow melts it´s quite ok :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.
