Today it´s raining so almost all photo´s comes from yesterdays morning walk.

So off to the vet we vent yesterday hoping it wouldn´t be anything to serious with Orvar. He jumped happily in to the car, even if he looked a bit suspicious when the other two weren´t allowed on this trip. He had his head outside the car window almost all the way but the closer we got the less often he wanted to do that. The worst thing he´s been through at the vet is a vaccine shot, so I really don´t understand why he gets so worried. Once I had a dog that always was extremely happy when she came to the vet and she had gone through a lot of surgery there.

Anyway, we went in and if I would have allowed it Orvar would have been sitting in my lap :-) But a 99 pound dog is a bit too heavy :-) We had to wait a bit because they were x-raying two other big dogs before us. They weren´t cooperative at all so they had to use sedative on them. Orvar however we all thought would be no problems at all. He may not be the brightest star in the sky, but he normally does what he is expected to. Well we got him on the x-ray table without too much problem and we also got him to lie down. We also managed to start taking the x-ray. But it´s an old machine and it makes a lot of noise, not good when it comes to Orvar.

We did get a real good photo of his elbow, even if it was his shoulder we tried to x-ray :-) :-) :-) So we had to give him sedative too. But it turned out that it wasn´t anything seriously wrong with him after all. His shoulder had been dislocated and after a while located itself again. So now I have to stop him from playing to tough with his brother for a while, nothing more :-) But I don´t think I ever will be able to get him in to that vet again :-) :-) :-)

A very strange thing happened before we were going to the vet though. I was watching the European Athletics championship on TV when my phone rang. I had had the computer problems the day before and talked with a young man on Hewlett Packard that was a great help. So I´m sitting there and watching when he suddenly calls me up just to ask me if my computer still works fine!!!! Has that ever happened to You? Something like this has never happened to me before. I didn´t know that someone actually cared so much about their customers that they phoned back just to be certain that what they did worked and that I as a customer is satisfied with their job!

Bertil was already out somewhere when we started our walk, but he met up with us half way home.

Today we met our neighbours the Cattles. Very friendly even if my dogs were quite visible.

At the moment the computer worked fine and I thanked him so much for all help and that he actually cared. Unfortunally it all started again when we came home from the vet. This time however nothing bad happened, it only started to make an inconsistency control again. So I phoned Hewlett-Packard again and then they helped me to program my computer not to do so again. It seems there´s a programming problem in Window (Is anyone surprised by that??? Next time I have to buy a Mac!!! I´ll just have to start saving now because they are a bit expensive). So now I do hope my computer stays calm for a while :-)

The first flower to open up on my pelargonium (geranium) P.Australe. I can´t understnad why this one isn´t more popular. Gets lots opf flowers and flowers for a very long time.
Another of my Pelargoniums, but I can´t for my life remember its name.

Morning dew on my Iliamna.

By the way! I tried to use Safari for PC instead of explorer on my computer but whenever I typed the letter @ I jumped back to the start site on internet :-) :-) :-) It´s a bit hard to write mail addresses if I can´t use that letter :-) :-) :-) So if anyone of You readers knows a way round this problem please tell me! Now it´s time for a pot of tea and then the championships on TV again.
Have a great day now!

I think your computer has a virus and something is stuck in your toolbar. Run all your virus programs and see if you find something. Lots of different photos today, YAY! Love the cattle but wouldn't want to live too close to them. So doggie doing fine? His age is climbing up on him. My cats hate going to the vet.

Hi Z&M!
No this isn´t a virus I´m afraid. We had been sevarl phoning about this problem and it is a programming problem with windows. Nothing I´m surprised to hear I´m afraid. It was the same with Windos XP and the compability with antivirus programs. I could only use the up and down buttons that time :-) :-)

Besides everything gets eradicated when the hard disk is reformatted, not even a virus manages to stay then.

Yes, Orvar is ok :-) But it will be a problem to take him to the vet in thje future :-) :-)
Have a grteat day now!
Christer.

To answer your question about the computer followup. Yes, I have had HP call or email to "see" if a problem I was having and for which I had contacted their support had been resolved. I only use HP desktop computers and printers, so don't know if other PC companies would respond the same way. My toshiba notebook PC has not given me any problem to call about (thankfully) and it is well over 4 years old now. I am also using WIndows 7 on this new HP desktop and no probems to date so hope that contines. But I am sorry to hear about all your problems.

Hejsan Lotta!

Hello Christer,
Glad to know it's nothing serious with Orvar :)
Even if he is so big and heavy I guess you're lucky to have a dog so peaceful.
To take my Jung to the vet I need to give him a sedative and a tranquilizer for me.
Sweet kitten that is, it develops into a "Tasmanian Devil" to get away from home.
I have not used Safari so I can not help you. I use Firefox or any one, less IE browser :)
After tell me more about your experience with Safari.
kisses and have a nice day
Didi

Hi Beatrice!
I have not even heard that companies makes follow ups before, so this was fantastic for me :-) HP is perhaps unique?

Well if Your computor starts to behave strange You know why now :-) I do hope my troubles with the computer is over now. I have a hard time liking it as it is :-) :-) :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Didi!
I´m so glad too. I´ve noticed that big dogs usually are much more often peaceful than small dogs are. His father was even more peaceful than he is. That was the kind of dog that walked between two people that were arguing, forcing them appart. He didn´t like that and since he was so big people always did as he wanted :-) :-)

I understand completely when it comes to Tasmanian devil behaviour :-) :-) :-)

If I can come around that problem I will tell You more!
Have a great day now!
Christer.

After you told about your problem with your computer I remembered that I had exactly that!!
Only now I remembered it. I am a bit forgetful :)
I bought three years ago when I moved to this city, an HP and after a few time he gave me
this same message: "catastrophic error"
(because talk like this? Seemed that the world would end!)
I spoke with HP support staff all very kind and polite, but took too long to resolve,
It was necessary to send me the physical CD installation by mail, and myself formated.
After all they called me to see if all was well.
Well...It seems that despite the disasters are common with HP, at least they are educated :)

I love HP because of their customer care... once had to spend over 5 hours on the phone with their VP who helped me with a printer problem that turned out to be a bad machine, which they totally replaced and haven't had a problem since... I'm a little less irritated than today's folks when things go wrong, because they do, it's that simple... if it's manmade there will be glitches, it comes with the territory... so, I just get it fixed... what REALLY irritates me is companies who hire people than can't speak or understand the language... don't get me started on that...

Hi Didi!
But when this happens it does sort of feel like then end of the world :-) :-)

I didn´t need a recoveryh CD, the programs were already in the computer. But i hope my troubles are gone now.

I´m impressed by the people at HP, no one has ever called back to me before!
Have a great day now!

Hi Sharlene!
I´m impressed by HPO and their customer care! No one has ever phoned me back to see if things works as they shall before! But when these things happens I mostly just get tired :-) :-)

We don´t have the problem with companies where they don´t understand or speak swedish especially well yet.

I know of a Taxi company that has people hired in Moldavia (that´s not next door :-) :-) ), but I have to say that these employes are talking perfect swedish already after three months of learning our language!!
Have a great day now!

Yes I´m so glad it was nothing worse! But I doubt I´ll ever get him to the vet again :-) :-)

I guess the blogteck does like that :-) :-)

Sorry about the rain missing You once again! Wish I could send over some of ours. It has been raining all day without any stop.
Have a great day now!

I'm so happy that Orvar is OK!
I know how it is when our pets are sick or injured,it's so hard not to be worried.
I had a computer problem myself the other day and after they got me back on line, they sent me an email to rate their service!
I think that's a great idea for them to be concerned with customer care!

The cottage by the Cranelake said...

Hi Cindi!
I´m so glad too, it could have been so much worse.

I have sometimes had a machine calling me up directly after I´ve phoed and asked for help, bu I don´t really count that. The machine really don´t care to be honest :-) :-)

But it is great that they actually care if their help worked or not :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.
