Suddenly a double rainbow showed up in the middle of the thunderstorm yesterday.

When the thunder finally started yesterday it sure did it with a bang. It has also had some troubles stopping again :-) It continued all night and a big part of this day. Now a new area with thunderstorms are approaching and I can hear the thunder from a distance. So if I don´t visit You after writing this You know why.

At the moment it looks more like this.

I don´t know how long ago it was since we had a tropical night here. That means the temperature never dropped below 20C (68F) but last night was one of those. I was hoping for cold air to come in to my kitchen when I opened the door :-) But it was still cooler than it was inside. I had to sleep on the bottom floor on the coach, well that was a bit of an exaggeration to be honest. It was impossible to sleep, I sort of slumbered short or longer periods waking up now and again when a fly started to use me as a playground :-) It was 29C (84F) in the livingroom when I got up and I didn´t even bother to see how hot it was upstairs :-) :-) :-)

I could see flashes of lightning all the way to work and sometimes the bangs were so loud I could here them when working in the factory and I work in a very noicy place. But at the moment it`s quiet and still outside. Only the flies are active and very much so, so thunder is closing in.

Well it´s time to have a cup of tea and later on tonight it´s murder time again :-) A new season of Midsummer murders starts at tv and I just love it. Nowdays they love to show ho´w the murder happens and the more blood they can spray around the place the better, I don´t like that. They don´t do that in Midsommer murders. If the program has a high quality they only have to give a hint about what has happened.
Have a great day now!

Funny how we share the same weather. I'm about to shut down this system because the lightening is getting really close. I don't know how long to fix my main computer I'm number five in line. I'm guessing a virus got to it as it won't go to the page I click on when I try to go online. And pop up windows tell of .exe problems. Computers are great, when they work.

Hi Z&M!
Usually Your weather blows up to us within a week or so, so I guess I can expect hot and thunder later on then :-)

Yes, computers are great when working. But Í don´t allow popup windows any more, they´ll only give us problems!
Hope they can fix it soon!
Have a great day now!
Christer.

We have thunder and dark skies as I type, here in s.e. FL. USA I hope we get some much needed rain.

That rainbow picture is great and you have some wonderful flowers blooming.

Love your animal buddies.

Hi Christer,

Today we have beautiful photos again :)
Here where I live in Salvador, 30C is normal throughout the year. Very hot, many baths a day, now even my cat - Jung - took a bath and sleeps happily.
I hope this night you sleep better.
Hugs
Didi

Just found your blog, I've enjoyed looking at all of the photos from your different posts. Such interesting countryside, some reminds me of Germany some of Georgia here in the states. It seems hot weather is everywhere, but at least today we got some rain which we desperately needed.
Have a great week!

LOVE the rainbow photo and of course Bertil!
This is my first year with window air-conditioners throughout the house. Now I wonder how I survived before! But I had to get them because Blue would sit in front of
the fans and hog all the air!
Take care- Cindi

Double rainbows mean TWO pots of gold -- of course, you have to do quite a bit of walking to get to them... but, it's good exercise... thanks for the pretty floral pix and the bees... miss our bees... not as many this year as I had hoped... it's been so hot that even my vegetable plants are smaller than usual... (Sad note: I think you're right about the baby birds... not fair... )

My friend, those are some beautiful pictures Sorry that you can't sleep well, but I can certainly understand it due to the heat!

Hope the storms don't cause you any damage!

Sova får man göra nån annan årstid, just nu lägger jag mig vid ett och går upp vid fem efter att ha legat och vridit mig i en blöt säng. Min gubbe och hunden sover dock väldigt gott - och länge - och jag är avundsjuk på dom!

Hi Christer, I have just caught up reading and veiwing your blog. Your photos are really beautiful. The most recent with that early morning light. Flowers, insects, frogs and flies..sounds like here in summer.
I could not imagine 29C so early, we hardly ever get hot nights either.

The fire is on down here and we have had some rain. The garden here is telling me spring is not far away. I just have to not get lulled into a false sense of security and go crazy sowing seeds.

I hope your last day is not too crazy!

he first photos of the double rainbow is my favorite for today. I only wish we had some of those rain clouds, but not so the thunder and lightning. It's still dry, hot and humid here with no rain in the forecast (sadly). Wasn't this your vacation week from work?

Hi Flowerlady!
We got rather much rain here during the thunderstorms, but only a few miles away they got almost nothing.

My animal buddies are the best :-)
Have a great day now!

Hejsan Monne!

Christer.

Hi Didi!
I did sleep much better last night, it got a bit colder after the thunderstorms. But I think it´s a bit different with those high temperatures if it´s like that all year long. Here it can be 19C one day and 32C the next :-) :-) :-) We never gets a chance to get used to it.

I think it would be a sign that the world was going under if my cats took a bath :-) :-) :-)

Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Joyce!
Yes it´s about time You got some rain now! How long is it that You have had it this warm now?

I can imagine that You enjoy Your car, who wouldn´t :-) :-)
Have a great day now!

Hi Ulrike!
Welcome to my part of the world!
Most of Sweden looks like this :-) We´re only nine million people in a country that is slightly bigger than California.

We did get rather much rain during the thunderstorms here, so unfortunally the grass has started to grow. So soon I´ll have to mowe the lawn :-)

have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Cindi!
Aircondition in houses is very rare over here. Not so strange since we might need a one week every year :-) :-) :-) But I do have to buy some fans this vacation!

The rainbows were really beautiful! The fun thing is that I couldn´t see the top one when I took the photo!

Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Sharlene!
The problems with raibows is that they tend to move away when walking towards them :-) :-) The lepricons must be running like crazy so no one can get that gold :-) :-) :-)

We have loads of different bees here, but no honey bees at all. I have been thinking of getting a bee hive, but I´m not sure my neighbours would like it, even if they got some honey :-)

Yes I´m afraid that is what happened with those birds. Nature is cruel sometimes.
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Hermit Jim and welcome to my place!
We are not used to heat like this, some years the temperature never gets above 64F :-) So when it happens it´s just to much :-) :-) But last night was cooler so I almost slept a whole night :-)

We actually got some tornados here and that is really unusual. Some barns and roofs on houses got damaged. Our tornados are nothing compared to Yours thankfully!

Have a great day now!
Christer.

Christer.

Hi Aussimade!
I´m glad You like my photo´s :-)

I think Sweden and Tasmania is very similar in many ways, our winters are colder though. I personally thinks that Your wildlife is so much more interesting than ours. I´d love to travel there one day!

It´s so easy to start to early with sowing. If one does it frost comes and if one doesn´t the frost never comes :-) :-) :-)

Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Beatrice!
The fun thing is that I couldn´t see the top rainbow when i took the photo :-) I´m certain it wasn´t there then :-) :-)

I could do without the lightning too. It always comes out from my telephone with a big bang! One day something will caught fire I´m afraid.

No, my four weeks vacation starts next Monday, but I´ve taken the day of on Friday to give my dogs their vaccinations. So Tomorrow is my last day before vacation :-) :-)

Hope You´ll get rain soon!
Christer.

It seems like just yesterday you were freezing and couldn't get your car out of the ice in your yard..or at least it was a struggle...slippery roads..fell on you crutches...
It's hard to believe how quickly time passes.
You are right...about the matching furnature. I get things I like...seldom match anything..so..I will just have a couple of pieces of my white with the pink feminine things, (to get it out of my system!) :) and keep my other "many wooded furnature that I love. The cabinet...gee...I really would like to paint that but since I am unsure...it will stay as it is. The rocker will never get painted! I just cannot.

I love the landscape photo..with those RED houses etc. Wow. And here I am struggling to just get the shutters painted red. :(
Maybe one day he will give in and let me. I think color just scares some folks.
CUTE picture of Teodor! I love the floral photo's but the animals photo's are just fantastic!!

I have a friend that told me today that her cat was killed by a coyote in her neighbors yard! She only lives about a mile from me!!
My dog is so small that I don't even like her to go out alone after dark...and Teodor stays out there all night! Brave little soul!!
Mona

Hi Mona!
Yes, time just flies by! Soon I´ll be complaining about cold weather again :-) :-)

I think a home should show that someome actually has lived there so Things shouldn´t match to much. We go through different stages in life and that should be seen in a home :-)

Bertil is much tougher than his brother Teodor. I do hope he is careful too! He is so small that he wouldn´t stand a chance if surprised by the fox.

Have a great day now!
Christer.

Christer,
I love those bugs! We are in the middle of the worst weather as well. We had rain but no thunder. If I didn't have the air conditioner, I'd be sleeping downstairs too, maybe even on the deck.

Every morning I wake up hoping for fresh, clean air and every morning the humidity slams me.

ENOUGH I SAY!!

The cottage by the Cranelake said...

Hi Kat!
These are non irritating bugs so I like them a lot :-) :-)

Lots of rain here these last days and now everything smells fresh again. Now it´s so nice and cool outside so I will take a walk already now at 5:30 am even if it is a day of from work :-) I can take a hot day as long as the nights and mornings are cold.

I´ve read about the humidity on Your continent and we are not even close to that, but then again I have the flies :-) :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.
