4:40 am.

It´s windy and rather cool today and i like it. Working beside a hughe washing machine and paint owen all day makes me appreciate a bit cooler weather :-) It´s still warm summer temperatures, but compared to the heat we had a couple of days ago it is cool :-) It has rained some too. Well it is a lie to call it rain though. it is like someone sat in a plain two miles up in the air and spat once :-) :-)

It is so dry in some places in my municipality that we now have a restriction towards open fires. We are not even allowed to use grills outside our gardens. We have lots of bogs here and if they start to burn we never knows when they stop. They can continue for months just below the surface and blow up to big fires if things are right for that. It is terrible enough to see the hughe fires there are in California and Australis and I don´t want that here.

Morning dew on fireweed.

And on the old rose without name.

It will be a shorter working day for me tomorrow because I´m going to the doctor. As many of You know I have psoriatic arthritis. It´s a rheumatic disease that attackes the cartilage in my joints. It´s actually my immune system that thinks the cartilage is a virus and then tries to kill it. It attackes my ankles at the moment so they swell upp quite much. So I thought it was time to meet a specialist to see what to do. To get to that specialist I have to go to my health centre so they can give me a remittance to the right person. Getting up in the mornings now feels like walking directly on the bones. Well I wake up fast anyway :-) :-) :-)

Now it´s time for more tea and then out to visit You all!
Have a great day now!

Some mornings my ankles feel like they are attached to my feet with knives with the pointy end up.
Some evenings they feel like they have been inflated to the bursting point.
I used to have gout attacks and that was worse. It could be worse, much worse.

It's always something. When does your vacation start? I thought is was this week. You don't want to spend your vacation at the doctors office.

Hi Oldfool!
I have friends with gout and yes, that pain is much worse! So in a way Im happy that I at least doesn´t have that :-)

Your pain seemes very similar to mine, during the day it´s quite ok.´But since I already have two hip implants I know how bad this disease can be. Thankfully it seldome stays at one place very long. It´s the small things that one has to be grateful about :-) :-)

Have a great day now!

I'm so sorry you're having pain, right now, and do hope there'll be something to help... love the illusion to rain in your neck of the woods... heeheehee... the pictures are lovely, as usual, and so glad you share them with us...

Hi Sharlene!
Normally I never think of the pain unless it changes for worse or better. But this time the swelling made me decide to finally get intouch with a doctor that knows my disease. There might be better anti inflammation pills than those I use.

I liked that photo too :-) But I had hoped for a small rainbow :-)
I´m glad You like my photo´s :-)

have a great day now!

Christer, we hope your doctor visit gets you some relief and referral to a specialist. Not being able to go for walks would be terrible and all of us who "walk" with you would miss the daily excursions too. Hope you are feeling better soon and able to enjoy your vacation!

Hi Beatrice!

Oh I would get around somehow, that I´m sure of :-)

I could never sit still here at home, so I would get myself a really good wheelchair if it would get so far :-)

Have a great day now!

Christer, my brother was in a terrible accident back in 1989 and is now a quad. He has a wheelchair with no arms...and is NEVER home. You would be like him.. :)
Beautiful photo's today! No rainbow? Well, I mean, what do you expect from just a bit of spit from a plane! :):)
Glad you like my coffee table. I DO love to paint things. I use spray paint and now they have this wonderful handle that saves the poor index finger from being crippled for hours after!

I must show the bar stools that I just finished. Tomorrow...
I do not care for blond furnature, especially when I ordered dark oak.
So..now they are BLACK.
Have a nice Friday, Christer.
I am sorry you are having so much pain. Howard is headed for knee replacement on August 9th. He is ...nervous. Me too!
Take care.
Oh..no big fires here yet. An earthquake though...HATE those! Temp here has been a pretty steady 72 to 78 degree's.

I'm sorry you have such pain...life is just not fair. I know so many people that live with pain everyday...just not fair.
LOVE the photos! Those blue flowers are stunning!
Take care! - Cindi

Hi Mona!
I really hope I would be like Your brother :-) I don´t think it would take that long time until I had made my cottage perfect for a disabled person :-):-) I´ll never leave this place :-)

I have to say that You have a talent for painting furniture! I couldn´t see a single misstake on that table and that is unusual!

Normally I never think of my pain, unless it changes for the better or worse, but this time with the swelling too I thought it was best to see a doctor.

A knee replacement is a big job! But I can assure him that he will feel fine after some time! My neigghbour has done it with both his knees and feels perfect now. But the first days will be tougher than it was for me after my surgeries.

Lets hope for no more earthquakes and fires then!
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Christer.

Hi Cindi!
Normally I don´t think of the pain, but this time my feet got swollen too. So of to the doctor I went this morning.

Those blue flowers is almost a weed, but I too love them. We call them "Big Dragonflower" (Drachocefalum sibiricum or is it sibirica? I´m not sure at the moment :-) ). I bought seeds and they germinated great!

Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Christer, I am catching up on 2 or 3 months of blog reading - maybe more! I have been busy with work and moving, so I wasn't going to stop and comment on older posts but I have to say the 4:40 am picture at the beginning is stunning. You always have such beautiful pictures but this is one of the best... of course I think that every time I read your blog!
I hope you are feeling better since seeing the new doctor.

Hi Alice!
I have been wondering what had happened to You. You´ll have a lot of catching up to do then :-) :-)

I do like that photo too and I do feel a lot better now. With a bit of luck I´ll soon meet a specialist on rehumatic diseases, but there aren´t to many of those around so it might take a while before it happens.

Soon I´ll have a new camrera, so I hope my photo´s won´t get worse anyway :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.
