The entrance to my home. I must cut away some of the lilacs now, it´s a nightmare going there on rainy days :-)

I have just walked around on the bottom floor talking with german accent killing flies again (how long does the germans has to pay for ww2 :-) :-)   ). Every time i hit a fly I bring out the most satanical laughter I can upbring and that´s not easy to do with an accent :-) :-) If I should miss, very seldom now since I´ve gotten lots of praktice, I just say I´ll be back :-) :-) :-)

My clematis 'Tove'.

But since it´s raining today the doors are closed and the fly population gets thinner :-) The strange thing is that I can hit a fly and it starts to escape when it after a couple of inches suddenly realises that it´s dead. Looks very odd indeed. Then we have those flies that I think dies immediately, but after a couple of minutes starts to fly again?! But I must admit that there has been very few ticks this week. At least something to be joyful about.

I knew I had missed something! I´ve forgotten to put the tea with the other things I got!

A couple a weeks ago Joyce at Octoberfarm showed a recipe for banana pudding in her blog. It looked so delicious that I decided that I´ll do it when I go to my friends for a barbeque this summer. I asked if she could give some alternative ingredients because I didnt think I could find some of it here. Joyce is one of the kindest and most generous people I have the pleasure to know, so instead of finding replacement ingredients she sent the original ones to me by mail :-) Well there were some other things too as You can see in the photo :-) Some candy for me and my dogs :-) (Joyce You now have three best friends in my dogs :-) :-)  ) I also got some potholders. The fun thing is that all my potholders are gone?? I just can´t find them, so these were heaven sent! Thanks Joyce, I´m very happy for this box!

This is the comming flowers on a Guelder rose, Viburnum opulus. I like it a lot and hopefully I´ll sonn have it in my garden too :-)

A couple of days later another pakage arrived, this time from The Blue Spire. She read in another blog that I never had tasted Oreos. So I got the message to send my adress so I could get a pakage of those :-) Thank You Perovskia! They are (were is a more correct word I think) really tasty! The fun thing is that just when I ate the last one of them I saw a comercial on tv about them!! They have decided to start selling them here too. When i got to the grocery store in Kvänum the day after, they had started to sell them :-) :-) :-)

I´m getting spoiled by my friends here in Blog world and I like it :-) Now it´s time for a cup of tea and then out into cyberspace to visit You all!
Have a great day now!

Hi, Christer
Wait until they start selling chocolate covered Oreos in Sweden. It is a little difficult to dunk them in tea but they are really good with cold milk.

Hi Joyce!
Thanks for that adress! I really like baseball, but it is a very small sport over here so I do like his blog very much. But since I don´t know the team I never comment. But I´ve chosen them to be my favoutite team :-)

It´s always exciting to get a pakage from You! One never knows what´s in it :-) Thanks once again!
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Caryn!
I have to test them too :-) I eat anything covered in chocolate :-)

If I could live on only milk I would! I know nothing better to be honest. I drink at least a litre every day ( I think that would be around a quarter of a gallon).
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Yeah! I want you to ship over one of those famous, good looking, Swedish girls we keep hearing about. That would be nice. Sorry you have to high step it with those nasty flies. They aren't that bad here this summer so far. Enjoy your tea.

Ser ut som du får svårt o gå i badbrallorna i år ;-)
När får jag komma o kika på dina växter irl?

"Time is fun when you are having flies."

Oreo's are addicting.

I sported the name "kills seven with one blow" for a summer because I twice killed seven flies with one blow. I do not like killing things but I will and that summer was really bad.

The Germans and the Japs have to pay until I die. Nothing personal no hate involved just the results of their ancestors actions.

What a yummy post!

I had to laugh b/c before I read all the way through, all I could think was, "wow...I could visit Sweden and not feel homesick at all. They have all of my favorite treats."

And now you know why American's are some of the most overweight people on the planet! HA! and the OldFool is correct...Oreos are addicting!

When I was a little girl, I sat behind this boy at school that was obsessed with drawing swastikas all over his notebooks. I used to tattle on him b/c I thought it was like a serious sin to be drawing army tanks and swastikas! LOL

He ended up becoming a US Marine and recently friended me on facebook. He served in Desert Storm during the early 90s and is now like a major triathalon competitor. Funny...I still remember him as a 3rd grader!

Thanks for dropping by. Have a great day.

*laughs at the store selling them* Hmm.. you'll have to tell me if they taste the same made there, than they do from here.

Joyce sent you a very nice package! That's awesome!

If Z&M gets a good looking Swedish girl, can you send me a good looking Swedish guy? :) :) :)

I LOVE the entrance to your home.

I also love the second picture from the bottom. I don't know what it is, but it's captured me for some reason.

Tjänare Monne!
Ja, jag är riktigt bortskämd :-) :-)
Ja klematisen var något utöver det vanliga tycker jag. Nu får vi se om jag lyckas föröka den bara :-)
Ha det gott!
Christer.

Hi Z&M!
I think You alredy have to many of our girls over there as it is :-) :-) :-)

Well that´s the price I have to pay by living so close to a big bog, but they have been extremely annoying this summer. Or perhaps it´s just because they all came at once since we had such a cold spring? Any way, I´ll survive :-) :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Christer.

Hi Oldfool and welcome to my blog!

Well I won´t get bored with all these flies anyway :-) :-) :-)

Four is the highest I´ve gotten at the same time. Seven! Iadmire You! :-) I don´t like killing anything either, but there are limits when it comes to flies :-) :-)

The Germans do pay and will probably alway do that as long as we all remember. It´s time to forgive them I feel, but never getting anyone forget. The same with the japanese people.

Have a great day now and welcome back!
Christer.

Hi Valerie!
Yes we have it all now (not the chocolate covered yet though :-) ) and we sweeds are not far behind when it comes to overweight I´m afraid.

Funny how things turns around in life :-) I feel sick when seeing a swastika, but turn it around and it´s a positive symbol. It´s called the sun cross and is used dayly in India for instance. It used to be a positive symbol for the wikings too, if it was turned the other way. But I just can´t see it positiv in any way.

Triathlon competetor! I´m happy just to take my small walks :-) :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Larry!
It´s much worse here since I live by a bog and several farms with cattle. August is quite calm here when it comes to fles though, the biting sorts are usually worst in July here. But if going into the forest then we will meet the moose flies and thay are not fun at all because they are really creepy in all ways. I´ll tell You about them then.
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi Perovskia!
These Oreos are imported so they are just the same. But I will of course have to buy a pakage so I can check them out :-) :-) :-)

I think all good looking guys are there too already :-) Florida is like a magnet on folks from all over the world :-)

Joyce´s pakages is always filled with great stuff!

The second photo from the bottom is the bud on a tree peiony, just wait until it opens up! :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

The mosquitos are already started to make their appearance here in Nebraska. The flies will show up in mid-July! Ugh! Have a good day!

Kristina

The cottage by the Cranelake said...

Hi Kristina!
The mosquitoes have the time of their lifes now, I can´t say I´m happy about it :-) :-) But it has been a wet spring so I´m not surprised. The biting flies will come around the same time here. Well that´s the price one has to pay for living next door to a bog :-)
have a great day now!
Christer.
