I´m a bit amazed over the snow being able to hang like that from the roof! But it came around half a meter (half a yard) of snow that night.

I went as far as  the road was plowed that sunday morning :-)

I´ve just taken my first walk outside and I enjoyed every step I took :-) Naturally I forgot to take my camera with me But I´ll take a walk later today too so I´ll take the camera with me then. The photo´s You can see today is from the Sunday I went to hospital.

The pain pills I´m taking is a bit strange. First nothing happens, then I start to sweat like mad!  That just stops suddenly and for a while I´m quite ok. Then the freezing period starts! It was the same with my room neighbour at hospital, so I know it´s the pills. I think I´ll have to check them out on the internet today to see if this is normal. I get sudden attacks of tierdness too without warning. As soon as I don´t need them any more I´ll never take them again.

This is taken during my bus trip to Skövde.

I heard that our Ladies in Curling won the gold medal in the Olympics :-) :-) and that it was the Canadians they won over :-) :-) We do love our Curling Ladies!

I´ll try to read some of Your blogs today too. But I do get tired fast so I won´t read all of them I´m afraid.
Have a great day now all of You!

This was the view from my bed. It´s rather beautiful outside KSS, as tha Hospital is called. Click on the photo´s to make them bigger.

Good morning, Christer.

Glad to hear that you are continuing to gain strength! It is amazing how fast they get you up and moving after hip surgery.

The snow pictures are amazing...especially the snow overhang off the roof. My favorite picture is the one of the town with the red bard and church steeple in the background...so picturesque!

Almost all of our snow is gone (thank goodness!) except for the north sides of most homes and businesses and of course, the giant mounds of ice in strip mall parkking lots. Those are still enormous and appear black, gray, dirty! GROSS! They look like they're gonna take until June to melt.

Our weather forecasters have already predicted a above-average flooding season here in the midwest. The water level is running high and the ground is beyond saturated...and the melting has really just begun. Once all that snow melts up in Minnesota, the Dakotas, etc. and enters into the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers we can expect major problems here in the southern plains.

Wishing you a continued speedy recovery and less problematic symptoms from those pain pills!

Take care,
Valerie

Sweden's curling ladies were fantastic! I am not a big curling fan but I had to appreciate their strategizing and they really deserved it! Loved the group kiss at the end when they won - it was very sweet.
I hope you can get off the pain pills soon - they do strange things to my head too... I broke my arm a couple of years ago and only took them once becasue I felt so dopey!
Happy you had a little walk!! Take care out there,
Alice

That photo with the red barn could be a Christmas postcard. Glad you're up and walking around. I can't imagine what type of pain killer that is they put you on. Tylenol 3 might do some of what you described. I had a week's supply of Morphine pills but it was quick to ease the pain and no other side effects as I remember. Go online and see if you can read about it before taking anymore. I always check first. I had a horrible reaction to Zorcor. That taught me to look before I put anything into my body. Please take a picture of your Mom when you get a chance so we can all meet her. Stay well, stay healthy!

Christer.

Hi Valerie!
I was up and moving already the day after surgery and that is two days earlier than the last time. Soon we´ll have to walk away from surgery our selves :-) :-)

I like that photo best too.

We will get hughe problems with all this melting snow now in spring! I don´t think we´ve gotten more water in the shape of snow than we normally get it as rain. But now it´ll all melt at the same time. But so far our snow is still very white :-)

Take care now!
Christer.

Hi Alice!
I coulnd´t see the game unfortunally, but I have heard a lot about it :-) Curling is such a small sport over here that most of us watch the games if we get a chance too :-) I´ll try to see it later on svtplay.se I hope they save it there for some time after the Olympics.

Some pain pills sort of makes one feel like one stood beside and watched oneself doing things. These just makes me sweat :-) But I´ll take as few as possible!
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Hi NinaH!
I´m just going along with what the doctor said :-) not especially fast at all :-) 400 meters walk every day the first week at home and then the exersice things I have to do indoors.

But it´s nice to get out of the bed, because my back hurts after staying to much in there. But I promise I´ll take it easy!
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Christer.

Hi Z&M!
I´ll go online later today to check these medc out. But I´ll just take as little as possible of those chemicals.

I think it´ll be the last thing I´ll do if I try to take a photo of my mother, especially if I want to post it here :-) :-) :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.
