If they want it to look like it once did, will they then dig out the hole bog area and make it a lake once again? Don´t think so :-) :-) :-)

Yes that "eminent domain" thing. The better good for many goes before the better good for the individual person. As long as they get properly payed I can understand it most times, but sometimes they just behave nasty. Much the same all over the world I guess.

Have a great day now!
Christer. The cottage by the Cranelakehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07521318192039394408noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-948212455535029702.post-31656424654811709782010-09-25T05:53:00.210+02:002010-09-25T05:53:00.210+02:00Hi Didi!

Many parts of the US taken privately owned property, including homes, and they call "eminent domain" Sadly, the land is then used for roadways or other housing. Sometimes, the individual rights of people get lost for the "public" good. Doesn't seem right in the least.Beatrice P. So they take the entire tree down and sometimes the woodland. I don't know who makes these decisions. Nice photos today Christer. I wish I could get my photos up. Had a brief use of the old program but thanks for your advice. I'll go back now and see what you mean. Thanks so much!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-948212455535029702.post-71100155652367023632010-09-24T20:20:42.216+02:002010-09-24T20:20:42.216+02:00Hi Caryn!

But I think that something like that they sometimes are allowed to own the land and cut down some trees now and again happens. But what I know they are very poorly paid for it.

I always enjoy SciFi night :-)

Have a great day now!
Christer. The cottage by the Cranelakehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07521318192039394408noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-948212455535029702.post-82267766840391601672010-09-24T20:03:32.232+02:002010-09-24T20:03:32.232+02:00Hi Christer,

Now I guess we have to be annoyed at big government for taking our private property without proper remuneration. :-)
The other landowners near the reserve might see if they can make a deal with the government since they could be next. Maybe they could give the government the land with the proviso that the owner will maintain it, pay no taxes on it and can harvest for their lifetime. There are small farmers around me who have done something like this with the local government so that green space can be saved.
Enjoy SciFi night! I'm going to knit.carynnoreply@blogger.com
